Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • Silent Echo for the Stewards Cup. Very solid form at the trip, right profile, decent price, unlucky in the race last year, good jockey on board - a 1,2 record riding this horse.

Under The Stars looked likely to challenge for a place at one point before stopping quickly and being pulled up. The favourite got incredibly lucky. Something I wouldn't mind a dose of before I end up penniless. I dread to think by how much Khaloosy has under performed. All that promise and then that. As I speak Varian 2/24. Sir Busker just ridden for luck and never likely to get any. Add to Arigato and Miss Chess. You will do well find any horse with a more terrible passage this week than those three. Murphy riding very poorly at the moment. Cue a bonanza tomorrow. That seems to be the way of the weighing room.

On a general point one of the most difficult problems for a punter these days is deciding which horses can act on good and which can act on good to firm. The difference for many seems as much as good and soft, if not more. Years ago top horses were judged on running on good on firm but now they are seemingly unable to cope. Are we breeding a much weaker animal?

Already backed Summerghand EW tomorrow but almost certainly won't be watching. You can only hit yourself against a brick wall so many times.
What a game this is. Talking about losers is never much fun.

I try very hard not to swear but had that photo have gone the other way it would have pushed things to the limit.

A well deserved win for Summerghand.

Adding Katara 3/1 at Newmarket and hard to believe I ended the week with a very small profit.

WTF does this really mean ?
And HTF are you ever going to know anyway ?

In my mind (got my own issues by the way) it sounds like a mad thing to concern yourself with.
        Although I do agree it's a difficult problem ?
It's a problem you don't need to solve I reckon.

A bit like worrying how much oxygen vs nitrogen you inhale on each breath ?
I raised what to me is a reasonable talking point. Racing does exist beyond who is going to win the 3.15. If you don't think it is that's fine but do you really need the expletives?

I really haven't a clue what you are talking about but thanks for the concern, if that's what it is.

          • I’m back in the game lads. Got busted out of my own betting jail after getting into an argument with a lad I work with who was bragging to my watch that I’m a mug for betting on horses and he easily makes more than me trading on gold, silver & bitcoin. I ended up giving a Dragons Den pitch to the lads to invest into my betting consortium and I could guarantee that I would double their investment by the end of the day. They chose my business venture and gave me a tenner each and I soon started nervously explaining the pit falls and complications of betting on horses but they stuck with me and chose me over the ‘city trader’. I focused on genuine favourites and nailed the brief and doubled the pot. I was carried around the mess table like an African King and started making promises & plans for next Saturday. I’m now the head of The TKP (double The’s) Racing Consortium. For the first time ever I’m being trusted to invest in winners!! I’m back in the game!!! The deal is Saturday racing only and it’s not my money.....what could possibly go wrong

Come next March I’ll be booking the biggest hospitality box at the Festival with Abi Titmuss, Carol Voderman, Kerry Katona and Jordon helping us pour our drinks and explaining which horses are ours!!! Good times are on the horizon Fat Jockeys!!

                • I’m basing the table service on who would probably be available for my budget and have experience in silver service waitressing and happy to loosen the layers in the chill of the spring

                    • I finished Goodwood:

                      Staked: 84.8 pts
                      Returned: 69.5 pts
                      Net profit: -15.3 pts

Space Blues the only significant winner, and Brian The Snail placed at BOG 66/1 which was my best place.

Pretty poor week, didn't give it enough time...but that's probably because it didn't really excite me.

Well done to all the winners

Swindler each way in the Stewarde Cup at 12/1 E/W (7 places) looks a good price so he’s my bet in that minefield of a race.
Congrats on the win MOM, must have been a nice enough return
