Not a horrendous day, Zamaani and One Master picking up wins, Moomba adding small profit finishing 2nd and one of the trebles landed meaning the multiples paid there way also.

I have a multiple now looking a bit interesting for the rest of the week that FJ May be interested in. Have put all three winners so far up before each days racing so I’m sure posting the multi up isn’t aftertiming.

The final three as a treble is into 6/1 now with the money for English king! Am praying for it as it would be a big one if it could land!

Well.. English King May have lost but Emhibaar winning combined with a steady enough return on the singles would make it a good week. Appreciate it has been tough for most though and I would agree about Goodwood being a tough track. Can’t back horses who come form the back in these big field handicaps.

This is the bet for me in the race. They’ve managed to get him dropped 15lbs since the race last year. He’s ran some good races at the course in the past, although never winning. He ran a good 2nd to Summerghand in his penultimate run. It looks like this has been targeted all along. Visored today and creeps in with the 2nd lowest weight. A bit of luck in running and he’ll do for me

Ran a very nice debut, making up ground late on. There are some big yards with entries in the race. I think she can put the experience to good use and trouble them.

Another dreadful day to end a shocking week. Al Quaqa, My Oberon, Liberty Beach, Communique & Desert Encounter will be added to the bitter list of flat horse failures from a week to forget!! Backing favourites and 2nd favourites again in the hope the tide would turn and another end of afternoon moaning with not a sympathetic ear around. I hate Goodwood, I hope it’s sold off for social housing and a giant Asda superstore built on the finish line!!!

That’s me done for a fortnight, I’m placing myself in betting jail. Self imposed and no release for good behaviour. Good luck all, I’ll be back with my usual banal, ill judged and unimaginative diatribes and comments soon but I need a break.

Not a bad shout this Q as I think she definitely targets this meeting(like her dad used to) as Goodwood is her local track. I'm hoping this has been the plan for Open Wide since coming second last year as he missed Royal Ascot and was unplaced at Windsor LTO. I've also backed You're Hired. If you ignore his race on Tuesday, he has some really good form and also at Goodwood. I don't normally like backing horses running again after a few days but missed out on Hey Jonesy at Royal Ascot and noticed Ornate was unplaced in the handicap on Tuesday but then came 3rd to Battaash yesterday(albeit those were sprints)! I can see both these horses showing blue this morning so maybe worth an EW double.

The horse that hasn't been backed much - Platitude - actually has the more encouraging form recently.
