For some reason I'm going for all three Linda Perratt horses tomorrow.
Singles and accas.
Platitude 10-1
Open Wide 33-1
You're Hired 16-1
She's getting on these days but as a young lady she looked a bit like Abi Titmuss.
Fat Jockey box at Cheltenham on me if that lot wins.
With Abi Titmuss as table dressing (she'll be short of work at the minute I reckon).
In Stewards I've gone for Watan, KImifive, swindler & Louie de palma also.
In consolation race I took hills early prices on Rewaayat 11-2 & Tommy G 7-1.
Cabaleta and Homespin on the other races.
edit, Hochfeld and Dark Shot also backed.Last edited by Quevega; 31 July 2020, 10:08 PM.

You can tell you're new if you think THIS is downbeat.
You're lucky there is anyone posting at all

Multiple - One Master 7/4, Khaloosy 8/11, Bataash 1/3 & Zamaani 15/8 - Win Trebles/Fourfold
Best of luck to everyone today
On to tomorrow:
1.50 Tommy G (backed at 7's and 7.04/1, couldn't advise at current price though).
2.25 Quloob 10/1 E/W - bit annoyed I missed the 18's available but still think he's worth a bet at double figure odds
3.00 Enbihaar 8/11 (backed at EVS)
3.35 Mr Lupton 40/1 E/W, Atalantas Boy 18/1 E/W & Swindler 11/1 E/W (all 7 places) - was initially going to back Watan but missed the prices, as was way too slow pulling my finger out, and can't back now at the price. Really like Mr Lupton though at a big price.
4.10 Corvair 14/1 E/W
4.40 Forever Forward 11/2 & Tasfeeq 6/1 (split stakes)
5.10 Overwrite 13/2 E/W (5 places)

I have a multiple now looking a bit interesting for the rest of the week that FJ May be interested in. Have put all three winners so far up before each days racing so I’m sure posting the multi up isn’t aftertiming.
Heinz:
Space Blues - 5/2 WON
Stradivarius - 4/7 WON
Mohaather - 11/4 WON
English King - 5/2
Battaash - 2/5
Enbihaar - 13/8
The final three as a treble is into 6/1 now with the money for English king! Am praying for it as it would be a big one if it could land!

George Bowen 3.35 Stewards cup 40/1 7 places WHill
This is the bet for me in the race. They’ve managed to get him dropped 15lbs since the race last year. He’s ran some good races at the course in the past, although never winning. He ran a good 2nd to Summerghand in his penultimate run. It looks like this has been targeted all along. Visored today and creeps in with the 2nd lowest weight. A bit of luck in running and he’ll do for me
6.30 Chepstow. Sophie B 9/1
Ran a very nice debut, making up ground late on. There are some big yards with entries in the race. I think she can put the experience to good use and trouble them.
Good luck today everyone. Enjoy it

Backing favourites and 2nd favourites again in the hope the tide would turn and another end of afternoon moaning with not a sympathetic ear around. I hate Goodwood, I hope it’s sold off for social housing and a giant Asda superstore built on the finish line!!!
That’s me done for a fortnight, I’m placing myself in betting jail. Self imposed and no release for good behaviour. Good luck all, I’ll be back with my usual banal, ill judged and unimaginative diatribes and comments soon but I need a break.
Brilliant TKP, not the luck you’ve had, the words made me laugh.
Too many hard luck stories on the flat for me, it gets us through summer until the winter jumps is back, but I gave up having too much involvement some time ago.

I'm hoping this has been the plan for Open Wide since coming second last year as he missed Royal Ascot and was unplaced at Windsor LTO. I've also backed You're Hired. If you ignore his race on Tuesday, he has some really good form and also at Goodwood. I don't normally like backing horses running again after a few days but missed out on Hey Jonesy at Royal Ascot and noticed Ornate was unplaced in the handicap on Tuesday but then came 3rd to Battaash yesterday(albeit those were sprints)! I can see both these horses showing blue this morning so maybe worth an EW double.
You're Hired has been backed by me, partly because of Perratt but also because I backed Ornate in the each way extra market yesterday at a big price. And deserted Hey Jonesy at ascot.
The horse that hasn't been backed much - Platitude - actually has the more encouraging form recently.
