Another leading contender for the team is Golden Pal, who was narrowly beaten by Michael Bell’s The Lir Jet in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot.
The Uncle Mo colt was in line for a tilt at the Nunthorpe at York, but he instead remained in America and has since bolted up in a Stakes race at Saratoga. The Juvenile Turf Sprint is his Breeders’ Cup target.
“He’ll breeze on Saturday as well. It was a shame we couldn’t come over for York, but he’s a super quick horse, as he showed in his last race at Saratoga,” Ward added.
“The Breeders’ Cup race for him is over five and a half (furlongs). He’d prefer five as he has so much speed, but it’s his home track and I still think he’s going to be tough (to beat).”
Few recent price cuts with 365 going 5/2 from 3s. Unibet go shortest at 2/1 from 3/1.
The next likely runner in the market is also trained by Ward, Outadore, who beat another stablemate that Golden Pal beat easily LTO (Fauci). https://www.drf.com/news/outadore-st...sprint-victory
Certainly didn't look as impressive as Golden Pal
Just a heads up for anyone thinking about backing Guarana. Found this article dated 13/8/2020 and can't find any more up to date news, however some bookies still have her on their sites?
Volatile, the top-rated sprinter in North America, has been retired from racing due to a hairline fracture of his right front cannon bone, according to a press release put out Monday by his owners Three Chimneys Farm and Phoenix Thoroughbreds.
Has anyone got any thoughts on this race? Either on the first two favs, where there seems to be quite a price gap between them, or any of the other probables.
Jackie's Warrior, impressive 11/4 fav, has the highest speed rating of all 2 y/olds and a Gr1 winner. However, possibly his next run is 10/10 which only leaves a four week turnaround.
Dr. Schivel 7/1 2nd fav, has won his last two races including a Gr1. We won't see the Dr again until the BC as he is already home in training.
I have already taken 16/1 ew on BB's Spielberg. Second twice to Dr. Schivel so will need to improve. Due to run again on Saturday.

The top juvenile colt in California is done for the year and will be turned out to freshen for a 3-year-old campaign in 2021. Dr. Schivel, winner of the Grade 1 Runhappy Del Mar Futurity, will ship Thursday from Santa Anita to Rancho Temescal in Ventura County where he will stay until late December or early January.
Gamine, the beaten favorite in the Kentucky Oaks earlier this month, will return to one-turn racing for the remainder of the year, with the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint at Keeneland on Nov. 7 her next target, trainer Bob Baffert said Wednesday morning at Santa Anita.
