Roll ups go down, but the moneys in the bank from Authentic.

    • Probably ended up winning a few pence over the two days. A real escape. I think I realised before it started that I had backed far too many closers and so it proved.

Three wins (all on turf) and two places, all from the fairer sex. Plenty running between fourth and sixth but effectively never at the races.

Two star performances tonight, PC Boudot on Audarya and Tarnawa. The latter was very impressive considering she was held up in a slowly run race and taken six wide.

Of course it won't happen because Coolmore don't like acknowledging mistakes, but Boudot should replace Moore next season.

PCB is a brilliant jockey, he should have the best job definitely, lord knows where Ryan Moore will end up, when the day comes.

        • I never even backed her and for me the highlight of the weekend (even over golden pal and tarnawa) was glass slippers winning the turf sprint

From a sporting perspective I really enjoyed that

Tbf I thought all of the turf races were quite good, some excellent winners and some excellent rides

The dirt however was ruined by the golden highway, normally in America you see plenty of late withering runs down the outside but that just didn't happen.

What baffles me is Ryan Moore has been blatantly below par in the last year - I don't think Coolmore will drop him as first string but they should

I think you are being very generous to suggest it has only been this year. Covid just emphasised they don't need him. He makes no difference, certainly not a positive one.

This season was effectively a few penalty kicks on Love, and not much else. Yet the media still herald him as something special. It's ridiculous.

Among the top jockeys, he does not stand out in a positive way at all anymore.
His main strengths are knowledge of the worlds tracks/races, and his willingness to circle the globe.

But I am sure there are plenty of others that would love the chance to get that experience.

He is Horse Racing’s - Pogba.

He has been around the block a lot,
                won loads
looks great on video in action from a few years back
could still be a big player
but the world has moved on, and it doesn’t look like he has moved fast enough with it.

                • Tarnawa kept in training.

For me she was the horse of the year and if Weld can produce her in similar form then she is the one to beat in the 2021 Arc.

                  12/1 with Bet Fred.
