He looks a Group 1 horse, not sure 1M6&1/2F will be his bag, but he will have a big say and could win it.

I’ve had bit of the 12/1 this morning, to cover the Hukum and Pyledriver bets I placed a couple of weeks or so ago.

Simon Rowlands wrote a good article on 8 St Leger contenders based on past years Winners stride-length, and Galileo Chrome and Pyledriver had more of a 1M4F stride-length, with Hukum the standout for the St Leger distance.

I’m really not sure if the Irish Derby form so that meant leaving Santiago and Dawn Patrol out of the equation.

      FM,

Galileo Chrome doesn’t need supplementing as this year it wasn’t an early entry race, and up until now, nothing has been entered to run.

Entries out at 1pm tomorrow, normal 5-day decs is the very first entry stage, strange though it seems.

        I'm At donny Friday.

Looking at the card I spotted

        Laneqash,
entered to run in the flying scotsman.
Varian and crowley won it last year with Molatham, who came into it from a maiden win. Just beat Wichita.

This horse (laneqash) won a maiden at ascot and was heavily backed to do so and when he got going he looked smart (still green)

14-1 currently with PP seems big, given that it appears that Crowley is set to ride this one and not Albasheer or Mujbar who are both higher in the betting with albasheer Fav 7/2 currently.

Albasheer looked brilliant himself at Donny last time and the form looks good, although the third got well beat at york today.

Anyway, it looks like it may run looking at jockey bookings and would anticipate it being nearer the 6-1 price come the day.

Kevin Blake said it was the intention to run in the Leger. Assumed he needed supplemented but sounds like it's not the case.

The 2-10 on wednesday looks a good/interesting race.

made a little more interesting with the 2 year olds running.

Acklam Express & the filly Country Carnival - both with northern trainers and with good doncaster records.

Although this race is open to 2 yr olds, it's not often that they enter them. The last to do so was Equimou who came a close up (3/4 length) third to Priceless in 2016.

Getting 22lbs and 30lbs from the two at the head of the market is so much weight that it makes it very difficult to price up.

And although I really like the current form of both the top two - Dakota Gold & Moss Gill.

I think the 8-1 & 33-1 are worth taking each way.

Albasheer and Mujbal both entered in champagne stakes, along with the dangerous one ruler for godolphin.
Laneqash not entered as expected so hopefully they all skip the listed race and go for this group 2 instead.

                  Quite happy with this.

Think it’s the first time ever backed one antepost for the Leger too because I usually think the Leger ‘winner’ goes to the Arc or Champion Stakes instead.

Good shout Q, Laneqash around the 5s mark now with both Albasheer & Mujbal not entered... I’ll be disappointed if he doesn’t make the frame now at least

Yep, would have preferred one ruler to run in the champagne on Saturday but can’t have it all ways.
Think that leaves Godolphin without a runner in the champagne which is rare I think

Although not going on Friday now.

Ghalyoon in the 2-10 Handicap at Donny looks a decent price.
Its obviously a competitive race but the race he came second in after a breathing Op was interesting as he was slow to break and then ran keen. He then had to go towards the far rail, and it looked like the whole pack drifted that way and clearly didn't help.

It's his form last season however, that looks best of all, as he was 2l second to Nazeef - now rated 116 (6 lengths clear of third, lyndon B, now rated 97) , and he was giving them both weight (14lbs & 9lbs)

He then beat Posted (now rated 97) and they both were clear of third again. Was giving Posted 13lbs.

Anyway, although his run the last day ended in a bunch finish. I'm encouraged that they've kept this gelding in training after only having had 4 runs in three seasons.

                        5pts win 5-1.
running off 88 he should be competitive.

                          3:15 Doncaster - Vivionn @ 15/2

Been a fan of this filly for a while and been waiting for her to step up in trip like today. She’s definitely one paced but that won’t be too much of a problem now over 1m 6f. She plugged on last time but was hanging in behind runners but she’s never done that previously so you’d take her on trust to run a bit more true here. She’s been running well of late without winning but there’s definitely reason to believe she’d improve for this trip. With three places in listed and group company in her last three starts, Of her opposition, the favourite is clearly an improving three year old but she’s been winning handicaps, albeit easily, so still has to improve to the level of a Group 2. Snow has some decent form earlier in the year but has disappointed twice since whereas Makawee is consistent but never seems to win around this level. Monica Sheriff is a very decent filly and certainly has a touch of class but she’s not going to be on her seemingly preferred soft ground so has to be taken on. I absolutely think Vivionn is priced up as though she’s got no improvement in her. So at 15/2, in what might be a really weak Group 2, I have to have Vivionn a clear bet here.

Picked Vivionn myself for today M.O.M , in my L 15.
Was having second thought's , but you've sold it to me now .
                            Good luck !

If Vivionn wins I'll be annoyed as I think and I believe in Love.
                              Is a good thing.
But may the best filly win.

LILAC ROAD looks a big price in this after breaking the course and distance track record for two-year-olds last time out. She only received a rating of 86 for that all-the-way success and I suspect that significantly underestimates her ability. The horse who followed her home had previously finished in front of her and was a 1/6 hotshot with a Group One entry from the Gosden yard, while the third and chasing pack were ten lengths and further adrift. It looks like strong juvenile form, basically, and 11/1 in a nine-runner field is a very nice each-way price.
