Rain has put me off MOE and swung me towards the French raider Celesten. Gone in at 9/2 with 5 places.
Maori knight cost me a nice multiple when touched off in a head bob last time. Here he is again off the same mark getting lumps of weight and should be ok on the ground. 15/2 5 places is fine with me. I will also try and crack the placepot, probably go out leg 1.

I'm chancing Withhold in the Gold Cup. He might be gone at the game but he's bigger with B365 each way extra 2 places than he is on the exchanges.

It's a poor gold cup and if it wasn't for the Newcastle run he'd be a 20/1 shot in this. I'm certain he's better than most of those ahead of him when he puts in his best and at 66/1 I've had a small interest.

      0.5pt Withhold ew 66s (2 places)

On ratings she has work to do – and thanks to three winless efforts on dirt in Dubai this winter and a flop at Newmarket at the back end of last season she doesn’t look to have the most progressive profile. However, she firmly put her career back on an upwards curve by running huge in the 1,000 Guineas but didn’t last home behind Love. This drop in trip will help and she is match fit unlike many of her opposition. She’s drawn on the right side of the track in stall 13, where there’s been a clear draw bias towards high numbers all week, so 10/1 with five places offered each way feels very very solid given this is a drop in class and she’s getting weight from all the colts.
She ran a good race in the 1000g, but i don't think she has actually ran that well on the figures compared to what she has done before. The race to my eye cut up quite badly with a few of the market principles not staying + it really paying to be prominent in order to place in the race (bar Tate's filly who weakened after being keen). Obviously Love is the outlier but she was much the best.
She's back down to grade3 and a nice price over a trip that'll suit more, but i can't help but think the form of the 1000g isn't really to be taken at face value!

Added Yoshimi and Ropey Guest after reading comments on here, heres the list for today, small stakes as struggling to pick much and the ground will make it even trickier to pick a winner.

            1315 - Hypothetical 6.2 / Yoshimi 23.0

            1350 - Regal Reality 10.0

            1425 - Molatham 7.8 / Ropey Guest 29.0

            1500 - Bright Devil 6.8

            1535 - No Bet

            1610 - Finest Sound 4.0 / Khaloosy 8.8

            1640 - Soffika 10.5

For an in form punter...saw a girl on twitter @PollyRodgers had 2 picks for each race yesterday and had 6 winners and 2 places.

            Her picks today:

                  Interesting angle that.

The price difference between him and Nayef Road is huge now...

Nayef Road is about the same price to win the Gold Cup as he was when I put him up as a lay in a weaker race haha

                    My picks today:

                    1:15 Global Storm
                    1:50 Celestin
2:25 Fox Tal although just added Regal Reality e/w (10/1). Definitely seems to prefer faster ground but I am not convinced by Sir Dragonet over this trip and he’s well clear of all but the 2 market leaders on ratings so 10/1 could be an overreaction to the rain
                    3:00 No bet yet
                    3:35 Cross Counter e/w
4:10 Finest Sound and Verboten (15/2 and 10/1)
                    4:45 Dubai Love

Can’t say I am confident, but hopeful as always. Good luck!

7 places is now 10/1 for Lord Of The Lodge who I put up at 10/1 earlier in the week

I'm going to back the same two again at 7 places. This race might end up being an absolute bloodbath for me

Forgot to say I added Maori Knight last night at 10s and a small double on Celestin and Technician.

Haha, poor so far bud, significant losing day 1, just the wrong side of even day 2...

Should have reduced stakes really for this week given the circumstances but I'm pot-committed now

Only takes a couple of winners though and will all turn around.

Was more saying laying my selections this week was a banker, but glad to know Ascot has laid even the great Kevloaf low with us peasants hahaha
