Thought Saffron Beach was interesting in the sun chariot stakes for this Saturday having regained a bit of confidence with a win down in grade last time out, and her 2nd in the guineas.
Just seen she has been cut by B365 from 8/1 into 13/2. 8's still available with PP, BF and WH.
Nice surprise to see Marianafoot not declared for the Foret so I'm now even more confident that Space Blues will win on Sunday.
Strange to see the RacingPost reporting the ground as soft. The Longchamp clerk reported it as g/s, good in places yesterday with the weather being ok until Sunday where heavy showers were possible. I'll wait until Sunday to top up as long as the ground is not too soft.
Draw takes place later this morning
(low draw preferred, usually 1 to 6)
Betting market will be affected by the draw, coming up.
With the ground expected to turn very soft, the draw will have less impact. In fact, higher numbers come into it a fair bit more based on previous stats on deep ground. Even playing field for all which is how it should be for what looks a spectacular race on paper.

Yes, a nice even draw all round on soft ground is great for the viewing public.
Space Blues will be retired at the end of the season and may have 1 more run in the Breeders Cup mile according to Appleby. I've taken a chance as he delivered for me again yesterday. B365 showing 10s, Paddys are 3s.
Big lump of a horse too who will surely improve from 2 to 3
Agree with this and I'm not sure if it's wishful thinking on my part but I just get the feeling that both Appleby and Buick feel he is their best horse. He was the last leg of loads of Cheltenham roll ups for me today so I was so nervous but it was never in doubt really!

I would say at home he shows a lot more as he does seem a flashier type than NT. On course form it's the other way round though, i'd definitely favour NT.
