  • Wes wards Averly jane has hacked up all of her starts

Including the skidmore which golden pal won before winning the breeders cup juvenile turf sprint

She raced again at keeneland last week and set a new stakes track record for 5 1/2f pretty much hard held

The 3/1 is very tempting as it could easily be half that on the day

in fact I think iv just talked myself into a bet

She could be one for the Kings Stand (getting all the allowances) and the Nunthorpe next season.

If she wins well then definitely yes

Think I'd want a better price than golden pal was this year

He was only 5s or 6s after winning the breeders cup race id probably want twice that

Has WW come out and said "she's the best I've ever trained" yet?

Hopefully that turns out to be at least half true as I backed him for the breeders cup at 10s when I put the Nunthorpe bet on

Yeah annoyingly backed twilight gleaming, who hasn’t been seen since France and didn’t notice the turf entry for Averly Jane. She went from 13/2 into 3/1 fav. She was one I fancied for Ascot but he didn’t bring her over.

Cheers Pari not so annoying after all haha!

She was far too big with Hills when I placed it, 7/1.

Doubled it with Golden Pal tomorrow too

Can’t argue with that from the first race

Thats what ward expected from him at York but these American sprinters just seem so much better off a turn.

Blast from the gate, Europeans not great on the bend then by time they get to the straight he’s gone!

                          Love to see it

Ward certainly knows how to teach these horses to ping the lids

In a word SW, Potential. Unbeaten as a 2 Y/O, started his 3 Y/O campaign finishing strongly for a third place. I was raving about him for his next start in April but he got caught up in trouble and finished well back. He was then found to have a hairline fracture (possibly from his last race??). After a lengthy lay off he returned to racing in October coming 4th at a mile.I believe he was 22KG's over his previous start weight and he's a big lad anyway.

So he's not the easiest to back, he needs a lot to go right for him. He's temperamental, hopefully he's up to G1 fitness but if he can get a clear run he's got a monster finish on him and...I'm totally addicted to these types
