The form of current Chesham/2000 Guineas fav Alfie Mullins,who was ultra impressive on his debut , is tested tonight when the 2nd home Segomo runs in the 5.10 at The Curragh. AOB rates AM very highly so Segomo must have a good chance of franking the form.

The obrein fav auguste rodin looks very interesting

By deep impact out of multiple group 1 winner rhododendron who herself is a full sister to magical

Very similar breeding to saxon warrior who was by deep impact out of a galileo mare

If he is impressive could be a potential top 2yo and guineas horse

The price on debut suggests his work at home has been good

Alfred Munnings form took a knock. I'm thinking the Irish 2yo's might struggle against the English at RA this year.

Someone said the Blackbeard form has taken a few knocks ?? Bradsell in the Coventry could be anything.

Mawj and Queen Olly will be hard to beat in Albany.

It looks like being a stellar year this year. Some fantastic 3yo's and older horses. Looking forward to the watch

Matilda Picotte looks a wild price at 16/1 in the airlie stud stakes today at the Curragh, especially in relation to Jim bolgers comhra who is in opposition.

matilda Picotte comfortably beat comhra on debut over today’s c and d in a maiden, before they clashed for a second time over 6f at Naas in the race meditate won before royal ascot.

matilda Picotte was very keen this time but still led until inside the final furlong until ending up getting beat about 1.75l by meditate, and about half a length off a fast finishing comhra.

back at the Curragh today, the cheek pieces have been taken off Matilda to calm her down a bit and the trainer seems to be happy that there will be an ease in the ground for her.

Im struggling to grasp why Matilda is 16/1 today and comhra is 7/1, I would have them both around the 5-6/1 mark given their form with meditate, and if anything I would have Matilda lower than comhra given the superiority of her victory over her first time out before having an excuse last time.

Looks massively overpriced imo - 3rd last year off 89, won 7f soft at the same Haydock meeting in 2020 too - each time after running the week before. Laura’s good for her 3lb claim, so effectively off 81 today. Might end up with egg on my face but at 25/1 willing to take that chance. 5mm overnight rain so now officially soft.

Love a big handicap and have gone for 3 in today's Old Newton Cup - Get Shirty, Secret Shadow and Something Enticing. Secret Shadow's price has crashed (Hugh Taylor and Andy Holding have picked) from opening at 16s on Thursday. However, of the 2 Balding horses, I would much prefer Something Enticing if I had to only choose one. I think they rate him much more than a handicapper and although beaten 6l by Third Realm(runs in Gr1 tomorrow) last time out, he did give away that amount after a slow start and I just think he is well handicapped and will run a good race. Get Shirty has been running well all season and I couldn't let him go unbacked after giving me a very decent win at Royal Ascot. He's obviously higher in the handicap but I just can't see him being out of the top 6 and think he actually won quite cosily lto so could easily cope with the 6lb rise he has been given.

4.05 York - Intellogent / Anmaat

3.00 Ascot - Bond Chairman / Corazon

My strongest fancy is Bond Chairman.Ran really well last time and has been placed both times at Royal Ascot. If there's further improvement after his first run of the season then I can see him going very close. I really also like my John Smith's bets, Intellogent has by far the best form imo and may be even better now up in trip. If Anmaat is anywhere near the form of his Cambridgeshire second, he won't be too far away.

Edit. Added Ropey Guest for Bunbury Cup as form ties in with other 2 I have backed and now has a good claimer on today. Not sure how I missed before bur certainly missed the good prices!
