    • Scope - another 3-y-o success in the valuable 2m Prix Royal Oak: Kemari failed to stay the trip.
How many of these good 3-y-os will continue as next season's 4-y-os?

Scope looks like a potential ascot gold cup horse

Further he goes the better he gets

            • 6:00 Wolverhampton
              Pomelo 5/2

Has run 4 times, ran dreadfully twice on soft ground so she clearly doesn’t handle that ground, line through those

The form of her Wolverhampton novice win reads superbly

Second has won a listed race in France
              4th is rated 102
              5th is rated 99
              6th is rated 94

She beat them and gave them 7lb

Gets to run here off 89 and if ready to run, which she should be as she goes well fresh should in theory be a certainty in my eyes

Should be 6/4 so happy to take the 5/2

The horse will likely make me look stupid but on the formbook it makes sense hahaha

              • I was right about the price being wrong, well backed into 13/8 but simply pulled too hard and after that had no chance

                  • COOLANGATTA is she going to be the new darling down under? I hope so, I think she's great and as a racing fan I would like to see as many superstars as possible.
She's two from two but IMO her most impressive performance was a barrier trial where she made light work beating older horses.
In her last race she did struggle a little as she wanted to boss the race and was way too keen on a soft 6 track but still stayed undefeated.
Hopefully on Saturday from a tricky gate she can stay calm, get a good start, sit off the pace then show off a swift turn of foot where she has the rare ability to finish a race off in three or four strides. If you like her, she's about evens atm PP & WH and running on Saturday in The Magic Millions 2YO - R7 Gold Coast.

They the only qualifiers for that?

I see they are, wasn't hard for me to check myself

                        • I’ve not looked at the draw in detail yet
but the market leaders all seem drawn low so the race
might just happen on the far side.
in which case at the prices I like the look of United Front
On his all weather form he should be shorter and he’s around 10lb better off on turf, with a good claim also.
the ground should be quick enough for a US bred and his previous turf form isn’t too bad - excuses could be made.
trainer a good northern type which can’t be bad.
                          45-1 Ladbroke boosted

think he’s effectively 20lb better off with Notre belle g

Had a nibble at this one earlier in the week. Only beaten 1 3/4 lengths by Notre Belle Bete and I'm surprised at the relative prices given the massive swing in the weights. Mick Appleby also sounded sweet on the horse in this week's Weekender. Trimmed to 33s by Ladbrokes but you can still get 40s with Bet 365, 6 places.

Not one to back if you look at trends but I'm happy to give it a go.

                              • Saved me some time and effort, I'm on the 3 that FinalFurlong91 has guaranteed the winner comes from, and the well in but can't win on trends one Quevega has napped.

I haven't even watched any of their runs, looked at any other horses (bar top weight Safe Voyage, who I really, really like but 8f too far?

Kick off the flat as I mean to go on.... lazily.
