At York all week so have been looking at early markets and races on the Wednesday.
Couple of speculative ones I've picked so far.
Must say, of course I have no inside knowledge that they are intended runners. Although Balding did mention his in the Ebor stable tour with the handsome lad.

Tarboosh 25-1 PP&BFSB - Skybet symphony handicap 1-50

Interesting antepost race as a few of the fancied runners in the current betting (I got bored counting after half a dozen) are running today, and whilst some will run again Wednesday, not all of them will, and any that win will have a penalty.
So the market will likely shake up a bit before the off.

Tarboosh looks over priced having ran well in this race the last 2 years, finishing third last year off a mark of 105, and 2 lengths 8th the year before off a mark of 104. Arguably drawn on the wrong side both times also, when drawn high on both occasions. He was priced 50-1 and 33-1.
His only other run at the track was in a listed race when he finished a close, unlucky fourth in a hot race for that class.

His last run which was likely a prep for this race, as they have probably had this race in mind again. Was encouraging as it was a small runner field so he was keen but finished in a line with 3 horses rated 100+ and he was giving them all 6 or 7lbs.

Running off 100 on Wednesday, if declared and given a favourable draw, or with pace to tow him along. I'd be surprised if he's not fighting out the finish.

PP are stand out at 25-1.
This may be available on the day I suppose but a lot already have him at 12's or thereabouts, so I've took the risk now.

Youth Spirit 14-1 PP & BFSB - Great Voltigeur.

A bit if an each way gamble to be fair as the form of the favourite isn;t that good (through Wordsworth), but he did win well, and is still the likeliest winner if he progresses again (Kemari).

Scope is a dark horse if it runs as we haven't seen it since the lingfield derby trial, but looks held on ratings from what we have seen so far.

O'Brien has four entered, and surely will not run them all. He could even only run the one.

So PP paying 3 places antepost on this race looks worth a punt as it may well be lower than 8 that run on the day.
The other runners entered all ran at Goodwood (along with Sir Lucan of O'Briens, and Wordsworth) and aside from Yibir (well beaten) all finished a length or two off the winner, but Youth Spirit was carrying a small 3lb penalty vs the field.
I thought this horse lacked stamina after watching the Derby, but he still has a Leger entry and is bred to stay.
I'll more than likely back the O'brien first choice on the day I reckon, but if it does cut up and only 6 or 7 run then I'll be pleased to have this horse at 14-1 (3 places)

Chesham stakes form hasn't worked out that well.

Both unplaced - Summerghand was the bet of the day!

The winner here (Mise en scene) though only winning by a neck I thought won nice and cosily
Coming from a less well known stable (James Ferguson) she might be a decent price for the 1000 guineas next year.

antepost for the cambridgeshire looks value.
Can be backed with ladbrokes and one or 2 others at 66-1 (80-1 boosted).
Just came second to the new antepost favourite and will therefore be 5lb better off at the weights with him. Uncle Bryn had the run of the race for sure, and Walhaan looked to be staying on nicely.
Ran in the race last year (drawn low in 1) and won his race on the far side off a mark of 91 (now rated 87)
Looks like this race is the plan, looking at the season so far.

Negative is, he may not get in (although 87 should put him near the bottom in some/most years)
