Giving a small shot to Priti Agrippa 25/1 E/W in the 2:10 at Bath.
Vedute has been beaten twice at short prices already so I'm happy to take him on. Priti Agrippa split (finished 3rd) some well fancied rivals at a huge price LTO, and that form doesn't represent being as big a price as she is here.

After the big build up something of a damp squib or more correctly a firm squib. Very quick ground and again two more bookmaker friendly results. How many of those have let themselves down on that surface?
Take the winner out of the first and it was reasonably predictable. Second and third had every chance on the day but Snowfall lost 2-3 lengths at the start and effectively had no chance. She was also ominously weak in market close to the off. Anyone's guess whether that form will be confirmed on proper good ground.
As for the colts they have finished in a heap. The second is a nice model but even though he only beat two if upped in trip to a mile I would happily support Reve De Vol to beat that bunch should they meet again. He effectively had no chance after a few yards and although making some ground then proceeded to hang away his limited chances in the straight.

Took Masen + Charterhouse (e/w) as i think that maiden's much stronger. Blue For You has come out and won at Galway to help it a little anyway.
Thought Peregrine Run was a decent price tomorrow. Given too much to do last time by a 7pd claimer, 2nd won nicely off 117 at Galway over hurdles + we know Chosen Mates useful. Even his run before that on the flat where he drifted, Penny Out has franked the form somewhat being close at Galway.
Surely he's better than 76 even forgetting Coen's claim!

One of many bets today but I quite like Chessman 33-1 each way. Might drift further looking at the market and will back again if so.
I must admit I was surprised it has only won one race.
Has spent the last two seasons running at listed class and higher, and has ran some nice races over slightly shorter trips.
Will need things to drop right and get up on the line but this listed race looks weaker than most races he's ran in, in the last two seasons.
Although there are plenty of potential improvers to be fair.
I hope the return to 7f may well help him to travel into the race a bit further before being asked as I think this may be his best trip.
His closest to victory was the last time he ran 7f early last season. He was campaigned at 7f and a mile from his debut in the UK with Archie Watson, including going close in some big field handicaps.
Obviously Cliff diving
And even if it wins, it will still owe me I reckon.
But not backed it once this season so fingers crossed.

Which is a pretty safe looking poke.
I have backed this as the sun isn't out yet
I do also like Chessman, Q! I've followed him for a while (stopped backing a while back) but it's a decent case made for a horse I know when he does pop up again I'll do a wry smile!
