  • Was a really solid case Q for one whose price could collapse and easy to imagine those pricing the race up completely forgetting what happened last year. Had a point each way with Hills the day you posted and was planning on a top-up if it looked like the money was coming, but missed the moves today and too short now. Fingers crossed for a decent run

    • Does anyone know if they are targeting the Cesarewitch with Imperium?

Seems like they are fancying it again, hope I didn't spoilt it for connections.

But moves with all the bookies today and into as short as 8's with Hills now.
PP won't be laying much at 16's.
It's a massively competitive race for sure but encouraging that the money has come.

          Fingers crossed it's declared now.
Backed Hammer Gun at 16s myself didn’t even notice it was as big as 33s. Agree if he’s not gone at the game he should be going close. LATE ARRIVAL is 5/1 which might look short enough in a 22 runner handicap but he’s 5 pound well in and at 5/1 5 places on offer he looks an e/w bet to nothing. With Crisford flying and Buick up I wouldn’t even be surprised if it went off half those odds.

            Yep
Backed that as well once declared
But it’s a daft race to get carried away with
I preferred it as a betting option with the legends riding

            • Dark Shot looks well handicapped and a generous price at 3/1 in the 4.30 at Catterick today. Doubled with Dance Jupiter in the race shortly after @ Galway. Double pays 18/1

                  • One horse I think should be much shorter today is SECRET PULSE in the 4.30 Cork.
The form of his latest 5th stacks up well. 4th was a filly of Joseph O’Briens that won a fillies maiden easily a few days back. 3rd was Simply a breeze, I think Jack put this one up once. Now rated close to 100. 2nd was another of Joseph’s that hammered the Irish 1000 third placing (who has since won a listed race). The winner went on to run well in a group 3 against older horses. The top 5 were all within 5 lengths of each other so she likely has another good run in her. Colin Keane gets up again, which is always a huge tick for me.
The favourite was beaten 7l by the Irish 1000 winner. She has a long layoff to overcome. The second favourite went off at 8/15 on debut so a better run was definitely expected of her. Dermot Welds filly in there has achieved a good rating but I think the dark horse is Secret Pulse.
                    10/1 at the time

Good money for her now. Yeah Simply A Breeze ran well in a g3 recently, and Feane's other good filly won + is now with Balding running today!

Having a wee look at the race it's wide open and your bet does look a good one.

One i think is potentially overpriced is....Treasure Today 40-1. On her debut she finished 1.25ls behind Nawafeth who is 5-1 here. Obviously Nawafeth is quite well thought of going of 8/15f in that race, but if you watch it back TT missed the start, gave them a few lengths and ran on nicely at the finish. Up to 1m1 at Ballinrobe she was at the rear, and while beaten 7.75ls she was finishing nicely, it paid to be prominent that day, watch Billy Lee force the winner as prominent early as possible. Solene Lilyette is also 5-1 here and TT beat her as well lol.

It's clear she ran badly last time upped to 1m4, but she blatently didn't stay or run her race there. She was wearing a hood the last two times but doesn't today and is dropped back to a mile. Hoping the 3f straight at Cork will suit her better than the run at Ballinrobe and she can outrun her odds in an open fillies maiden.

                      It's a small interest.

Regardless of outcome this was some shout. Gutted I didn't take the 10/1 this morning - it's 10/3 fav now.

                            • Like the look of PISTA in the fillies group 2 tomorrow. She’s shown a very smart turn of foot on her last two starts which could come in handy here as doesn’t seem to be much pace. Was 8/1 but probably been put up by a well known tipster as 11/2 tops now.
