Or we could back Yafta without Glen Sheil at 11/4 in the 14:25 at Newcastle and watch Crowley make a mockery of Jash being shorter than him in the market?

I really liked Jash once, about 9 years ago it seems. Can't believe he's shorter in the betting though today?!

Can't see any circumstance where Glen Sheil isn't in the mix given his course record (never out the 3) and I just don't like Danzeno. I don't think the outsider is good enough and Harry's Bar is interesting but Yafta is just loads better than him isn't he.

Seems a good each way bet

        Mighty Gurka 7/2 365
Watson sends one horse to France and Hollie goes for 1 ride

Had both in the tracker, thought both were overpriced on opening
Got the same mail from them that they had revised to 13/8, seems a bit mad they can do that when the liability couldn't have been that big and as ye say wasn't as if it was 50 or 20/1.
I wonder does posting here for example see an influx of cash for the selection and have any influence on the decision then to revise the odds (as they compare to other sites and compilers who priced a lot shorter), thinking out loud....

        Selection for today
        Miss Yoda 12/1
        Mighty Gurka 13/8
        Boccaccio 10/3
        Thai Power 5/4
Mightly Gurka & Watch me double 9/2

        • Joseph O'Brien has a newcomer today in the 3:15 at galway called Louisville that got a very positive mention in both JOBs class of 2020 stable tour on atr and also the Qatar racing stable tour on sporting life. I think he is best price about 10/1 at the moment which seems big.

I like Dame Dandy in that race, the only one with a group entry (G2) later this month.

Might both be worth a little each way bet against the favourite.

His 3rd run, everything else (at less than 80/1) is having their first run and I expect him to make his experience count.

Also, none of them have fancy entries from this maiden.
Experience the difference there, King Vega worth noting for future.

Also worth noting I spelt the horses name wrong, Yibir

              • Nothing like a bit of controversy with the Mighty Gurkhas race after last nights discussion, only watched a 10sec clip of the start, looks like Hollie Doyle went to pull the hood off and missed? Glad i cashed my palp bet out of spite

Backed into favourite, so my 11/4 without bet is currently 6/4....

I nearly had a big bet on Yafta at evens in the head to head with Jash but got scared.

Glen Sheil is a very fair price now in the outright market, I'm not going anything else but we'll see how we get on.

                  • Wanted a rest from today although I've had a very good week but can't understand why Dark Jedi is not favourite for the 3.25 at Newcastle. His form coming 4th in the John Smith's Cup is way above anything any of the opposition have achieved this season and he remains off the same mark and could still be improving. Maybe I'm just missing something but I've had an interest EW anyway.

Miss Yoda wins well after the Gurkas horror show in the gate

                          Cheers Crolwey
Was out today for parents 50th wedding anniversary and dads 70th. So would not have looked at the European stuff I reckon.
Also cashed 8pts of my Gurkha bet out (thank fuck)
But had 2.5pts ew on Yoda at 12's (thankfully B365 didn't welch on this one even though they dropped to 13/2 pretty sharpish)
Other bets rolled in too today whilst sat having my carvery at a distance. So a smashing day. Took over four figures off 365 too (serves them right)
Gonna have some Austrian chocolate cake in a bit, with a nice glass of milk.

                          • Interested in the maiden at Naas tomorrow. I don't suppose Lordan had much option but to ride the Derby third. Gauntlet has the best pedigree on show but is priced up as if he is no good/just out for a run round. He had all the fancy entries earlier in the year.

Interestingly, bar the 4/11 fav, the only horse who still has any sort of fancy entry still, is King Arthurs Sword (group 3) in a couple of weeks time.

If he's going to be taking up that entry, he'd need to be showing up well here...

                              • Galleo Conti runs in the 1:25 @ Clairefontaine today, 365 are 1/2, WH are 4/7, but SkyBet are 5/6, so I've had a bit of that!
