Not had a bet but interested in the 7.30 Thirsk.

Both first and second favourites really look the part. The favourite showed plenty on debut but he has been relatively weak in market. You would also have thought that he would have been more than good enough to take a maiden closer to home. The second favourite has been bitterly disappointing but has since had a wind operation and has been supported.

Decent enough day, 15/2 and 11/10 winners, 14/1 3rd. Shame the treble was let down by the last leg unfortunately, backed right down to 1/2 as well

12:20 - Danilova (7/4)
Beaten on debut by another Godolphin horse (Wedding Dance) who was the only one to have had a run, who got a good ride that day and very much made his experience count.

That horse (Wedding Dance) is 2/1 favourite for a Group 3 in France at 1:35 less than an hour later.

It's not impossible to start making a case for the Frankel filly, Anghaam (3/1) - she was not far behind, when 4th, She Do, Spright (won NTO) and Zoetic (won today) so that form has taken a boost. The extra furlong looks like it'll suit too.

Next in the betting is Senita (4/1), who is unraced but well bred. She'd need to be another one off the Gosden conveyor-belt of top notch females to win this FTO IMO but that doesn't mean it can't happen.

4th in the market at the moment is Valorant who having just watched back was actually very eye catching in to 4th. Last around the bend and stayed on really well... a step up in trip may be what she needs but I expect she'll be doing her best work late.

The other 4 are unraced. Lilac Rose refused to enter the stalls (in the same race as Wedding Dance and Danilova) a few weeks ago, when she was 10/1.... I'd assume she'll need the run here.




So all in all, I did really fancy the favourite and I've talked myself out of it... but I'll post it anyway or it really was a waste of 25 minutes




Tempted by the Danilova, Wedding Dance double though - with absolutely no clue about the French race.
