  • Wouldn't say backing 3yo Irish maidens is a profitable angle, but 40s on Murtagh's seems wild nah?

Shaped nicely 4 1/2 behind the winner. Bearberry 2.75ls ahead of her is 11/4. Alright Jessie's fillies are so strong these days, but Murtagh flying, has a good record with his 3yos at the track + a good record with the jockey. 21 runners, 4 wins + and 7 seconds!?

I was actually eying up Feminism in the same race Jack. More for the fact she had Assurance behind her on debut and was twice the price of that one. A bit of money for her also. Might back both

        • If Feminism shows up well, I’ll be interested in Tasalka in the 6.15. Dermot Weld not really got them going just yet though.

Yeah Stormy i can see it too! Main reason for mine was the discrepancy in the market, even with Satin + Silk being single figs, didn't make sense!
On Tasalka, she was clearly well thought of last year! Must have been a hard decision for Orr to decide which to ride. Obviously Aidan's has made the favourite's form look very nice, but Tasalka also has strong form and a high 88 rating.

Twomey has a runner over from Crisford. Had 94 rated Anastarsia + 99 Bharani Star.

Interesting one for him to get, and he said in his Irishfield interview "she should win her maiden". I've all his horses noted down from that tour and he's been helpful already. If he could get her back to form, she's probably not a 16s shot?

I couldn't make my mind up on the race Scooby has decided to bet in. I had the prices up earlier looking through them and decided to leave it. Joseph's filly won alright last time, and the claimer is good value. O'brien's has looked up to much for me, but i considered her too due to the obvious pedigree. Then obviously Gee Rex could be very well in. Dodge the race!

I'm the same race as feminism.
Before betting opened, I was going to put up assurance EW. Then she was priced up shorter than I expected.

So I decide to have a 2nd play in the same race I went into earlier.

I think assurance needed the run 1st time up when fading late on. She ran well over 10f latest. Back to the mile with 2 runs under a belt, I think she'll be there abouts in a tough race.

I thought Feminism might just progress past Assurance with that first run under her belt. I’ve had my fingers burnt by assurance before so I was going to avoid her. Jim Bolger not really firing just yet either was enough to put me off. Good luck anyway Scooby if you bet her. She probably does deserve to win one of these

                    • Who could have imagined a horse that went off favourite for a Champion Hurdle, would be 100/1 for a Grade 3 hurdle in June.

                      Yanworth 100/1

                      • Having one crack today, Lingfield 5:00 Heer We Go Again 18/1 E/W.

Definitely at his best over 5f, LTO ran from rear to never nearer, better with a lead or up with the pace, so hoping they choose this tactic tonight, though race has a few potential horses that like to be prominent so that may be a little difficult. Kept to the all-weather since his maiden win the the exception of a run at Chester over 6f on soft ground, which would not and did not suit. Back down in class also, on a mark I think is exploitable, given the encouraging run at Wolverhampton LTO off 2lb higher, under different tactics.

The favourite (Sampers Seven) won a pretty poor handicap at Chelmsford LTO, and has never run on turf, so I'll look to lay him also I think. Rocking Reg is almost half the price of HWGA, but finished plenty enough behind to suggest the result will be much the same again. Capla Spirit finished behind Sampers Seven on their run at Wolverhampton the time before SS's win, and can't see that one troubling much. Autumn Trail represents the biggest danger, IMO, currently a 10/3 shot, and may swing a saver on this one.

There's been a few market moves for today! Hopefully it lands, but typical maiden anything could be lurking.
