Still some 16s around including 4 places with Betvictor
Yes I thought Happy company was overpriced and also Luck Phil at 20/1.

Gone to take a chance on this filly at 16/1 she’s run well in two high quality maidens last year surrounded by horses in the 90s and higher. By kingman out of an Iffraaj mare, she should relish the step up in trip on her return.
Interesting shout at the price. Initial feeling was she might be mark hunting, but when you've finished that close to highly rated fillies, it would seem pointless to look for a mark, as it won't be low!
The favourite was very well spoken about by Jessie in her stable tour, and that'll be why the 4-1 turned into 11/8 or so pretty quickly!

If I was a handicapper she’d be getting 90. If she can run to that, it should be good enough to win most maidens. I’d never heard Harrington’s praise. Even so, I think she’ll be thereabouts

She is just the most beautiful, big filly you could ever clap eyes on. She has just needed time. You will see her out in a maiden very soon and I cannot wait.

          That's what she said..

Agree with you, she's big alright.

          • Sounds like she thinks a lot of her. She’ll know a nice fully when she’s sees one too

Was a non runner in a better handicap than this the other week, the 6f should suit. I made a case for him being well handicapped last week Post 30#
Interesting jockey booking. Harry Bentley has had just 10 rides for Kevin Ryan in the last 5 years - and none at all so far this year. Eaves and Stott are both at Ponte today (Eaves riding Ryan's other 2 runners) and yet none of them take up the ride on Romero. Incidentally Bentley's 10 rides have resulted in 2 winners and a second.

                  • One bet elsewhere today, and had some of the 3's and 11/4 last night, Chelmsford 6:20 Martineo 5/2 available in a place. No luck in running LTO, and jockey didn't give him a hard time at all (some would say a poor steering job). Ran 4 times at Chelmsford, in class 4 company, rated 77-79, down one class today, runs off 72 today with riders claim (3lb) taken into account, it becomes 69. Should go well.

This one ran a very promising race first time out amongst some nice fillies including the Guineas winner Love and Ennistymon who was 2nd to Frankly Darling this week.
Looks thrown in off a mark of 63.

This filly was down the field in a very good maiden at Newmarket on debut. Very green but wasn’t beaten that far by 6 horses that ran at Royal Ascot, 3 of which ran very well. The 7th has come out and bolted up on her next start.
I expect this fully of Marco Botti’s to improve for that initial run. Botti has a good record on AW tracks too.

NR helped, but you certainly beat the price + more! Unlucky Stormy.

She had every chance to go and win jack. Plenty more must have thought she might!

                            • Obvs not going to post every time Rory Fitz puts one up but will mention what I consider some of the more interesting ones:

‘Quite like Zlatan in the 7:25 at Windsor. Just one turf start since productive 2018 campaign, where he won off 77 & placed off 75, 76 (×2), 77, 78 and 82. Excuses at Wolver 2 weeks ago, back on turf now off 73. 1/4 (3-placed) over trip & better the ground, better his chance.’

Main reason I mention is that he’s been cut almost across the board to 20s and there is £100 waiting to back at 25 on the exchange, you can still get 33s with Bet365 or 30s 4 places 1/4 odds which I took

Solid 3rd after being a little short of running room in the straight. Was surprised 30s was still available with 365 at 8am this morning although they swiftly cut to 12s.
