Sceptical is 20s with B365 and shortest at 12s with PP for the Kings Stand. He runs in the 5.35 at Naas tomorrow and his price will more than half if he wins. Worth an EW interest in case he impresses and will cash out of he doesn't.

I’ll be having my absolute bollox on Japan for the Prince of Wales. Don’t fancy too much else at this stage.

Asides from a couple of speculative multiples, I’ve kept my powder dry so far.

Lipizzaner is being backed off the boards, both for tomorrow and the Coventry. If it’s impressive tomorrow reckon it’ll be a silly price for Ascot.

Yes I've took a bit of boosted 8-1 with Hills. I am a sucker for the Aiden hyped Coventry runner. Also interested in seeing Harvard if he turns up in the Chesham. Had a tiny bet at 66 for the Guineas.

Same here MoM. Managed to grab some of the early prices.

The last of the 13/8 on japan might go today, just been tipped up by a tipster antepost

I’ve made good money off the Wesley Ward 2 year olds over the years with his lot being on the lasix most of their lives and being so much bigger than the field. Anyone remember Acapulco winning her 2 year old race - think it was the Queen Mary. She was genuinely built about a foot taller than any of the rest of them.

He’s out of form this year and I’ve gone through them all and there’s only two of his two year olds I might be tempted in - Golden Pal and Flying Athena. The former is well regarded and has apparently been blitzing the turf in the mornings. He was second on dirt on debut but apparently is a different horse on the turf. If he’s priced ok, I might be tempted to back him.

The other one is Flying Athena who is going to the Albany. Line was expected to win on debut but it was her stablemate who won. And she was impressive about it too. Wasn’t asked for a lot but still came away from Lime and 6f might just suit.

The rumour mill is that one of the Ward horses has been tearing up the gallops at Newmarket for fallon. My guess is that Kimari is the one who’s going to the commonwealth but Golden Pal is also being ridden out by fallon so hopefully it’s him.

Believe they can. Whether they will is another matter.

Not a fan of Sottsass. Just not one I can get used to. Beaten once again on his seasonal debut but he will improve for the run. If he came over, it would presumably be for the POW but there’s just not a hope in hell he’s better over 10f at Ascot than Japan. I make Japan an 8/11 shot for what it’s worth.

Good shout YH he’s proved he can do it just as well on the turf. He’s freakishly fast. Got 20/1 soon as he went over the line with 365 being slow to react.

Yes excellent shout YH - that was most impressive. B365 were unbelievably slow there.

I don't think that is a great price. I prefer Elarqam and Headman at the prices. Elarqam may have beaten Japan in last year's Juddmonte with a clear run and I'm assuming his top price of 25s with BV is because we are not sure if he will go for the PoW or the Hardwicke. I know the yard have talked about stepping him up in trip but they also really also want a G1 with him so I've taken a punt and taken the 25s. His first run of the season last Saturday will have hopefully put him spot on for Ascot.

I just think Headman is going to be a real improver this year and will also back him once there is news that the PoW is his target.

King of change misses the Queen Anne. Crap.

Just heard FAR ABOVE will most likely never race again never mind next week. Such a shame he had bundles of ability and would only of got better.
