    • No surprise that the money is coming for battaash after some very bullish comments from Charlie hills

Hes 5 from 5 on his first run of the season so if he's fully over the injury, which sounds like it was fairly minor, will take all the beating as the rest are very average

      • Queen Anne stakes
Palace Pier ticks every imaginable box including being in fine form but at such a short price it must be worthwhile to find some e/w value elsewhere

I can only see two other horses for which a case can be made:
Order of Australia seems to only now have found his forte i.e 1 Mile on fast ground and his Breeder's Cup win looked very good. Being without a season run is a minus
Lord Glitters likes Ascot and seemed unlucky in the Lockinge but it looked like a good prep race for this:
Selections: Palace Pier, Order of Australia, Lord Glitters

Hopefully he is fully recovered as he's a sight to behold at his best. If he falters I think Qu? Amoro could pick up the pieces.

B365 go 33/1 Pogo and 50/1 Accidental Agent 1/5th odds 1-3 without Palace Pier. That sounds very fair. Alan King could dominate the two marathon races as well. His record at RA is amazing.

Personally cant have either of the obrein horses and think top rank looks good value against them in the without pp market

I agree that Accidental Agent is a high price for a previous winner but his current form is worrying. It would be a big step up in form for Pogo but he has run well over CD before

                  • No doubt I've thrown too many darts today but easy to get carried away:

                    2.30 Regal Reality 3p 4.4 and 4p 2.6
3.05 Ebro River 13/1 and Gisburn 11/2 both ew
                    3.40 Oxted 9/1 ew
4.20 Battleground 11/2 and Chindit 6/1 both ew
5.00 Just Herbert 10/1 and 9/1 and Lostwithiel 20/1 both ew
5.35 Felix 9/2 and Solid Stone 5/1 both ew
                    6.10 Global Storm 9/2 ew

Permed many of these in various patents

                    Good luck all

                    • Battaash is a thing of beauty over 5f. The possible negatives (age, lack of a season run) don't seem to apply as he is lightly raced and has won FTO every season I think
Many of the others look held by Battaash though Que Amoro ran him close last time. It was described as good but looked softer.
Looking elsewhere Oxted has high class 6f form so may like the stiff Ascot 5f and Ubettabelieveit has arguably better 2-y-o form than Winter Power and if you discount his return run in France on GS seems to be better value than Winter Power

                      Selection: Battaash
e/w value Oxted, Que Amoro, Ubettabelieveit

Yep. Decent support for him. Fahey saying he's up there with the best 2 year olds he's ever trained so he must be good !

                            • Palace Pier did enough and was clearly the best horse in the race. Yet again Lord Glitters was making up ground fast in the closing stages. Have they ever tried being handier in the race? Looked like Order of Australia needed the race. Better run by Lope Y Fernandez and Sir Busker showed the value of course form

                              • In the St James Palace Poetic Flare, Lucky Vega and Chindit seem the form horses. Naamoos is a likely outsider
