    Two early fancies

    Palace Pier 5/1

Big fan of this horse and am hopeful he will show himself to be the premier miler in Europe this season

Got stuck in the mud at ascot but before that looked a serious horse

On better ground he will take some beating if he’s as good as I think he could be.

    Commonwealth Cup

    Campanelle 10/1

Won at the track over 5f, one of the few winners from a low draw on the straight track all week, then followed up in style in the prix morny

Was tried over a mile at the breeders cup and travelled into it nicely before simply not staying

Wesley Ward will have her primed for this youd hope and shes the one to beat for me

I saw an ATR interview with Adam Kirby a few weeks back where he's pretty keen on Diligent Harry for Ascot, currently around 16/1 for the commonwealth. He'd just won at Lingfield and AK mentioned it unprompted by the interviewer. Have him in some multiples with Subjectivist following his win at Meydan, maybe this is finally the year Stradivarius is beaten!

Personally I think subjectivist is the type of horse that stradivarius will beat with ease if he's anywhere near his best

These one paced Johnston stayers just dont have the speed to beat him, he just lopes around on the bridle and uses his turn of foot to come past them

He is getting on now though so every chance he won't be as good this year and then subjectivist is a huge player because I can't see santiago staying the trip

Absolutely no question Stradivarius is the better horse and a queen's vase and three gold cups is some record, I'm maybe more looking at the probability of four gold cups in a row and thinking about the likelihood of that. If there's a horse and trainer that'll do it, it's Stradivarius and Gosden but he's short enough and another year older.

Its just a shame galileo chrome was retired as he was still a shell of a horse and very unexposed when winning the ledger

Couldve been a serious 4 and 5 year old

Wesley ward unleashed a horse called Averly Jane recently that looked another 5f rocket

Would be very interested if we hear any vibes about her coming to Ascot

She lost her concentration for a second and started to veer but still won well enough.

Looked like she was trying everything other than running straight

Would want to see her again personally

Perfect little prep for the Lockinge and Queen Anne for Palace Pier

Gosden saying he’s far from fully fit and will come on for the run

Will take some beating this season

No quotes but he's also running Kaufymaker in the same race.
