Of those at daft prices, don't think the 150-1 about Idas Boy is bad myself!

See him going off 50-1 tops. Obviously being an 11 year old isn't ideal, but he's only had one run at 3m + and won that race pretty convincingly, looking like he wasn't stopping beating Amirite and only in receipt of 1lb (Duffle Coat well behind). So its decent form and was on good ground too. He was getting within a length of Gerri Colombe off levels a couple of seasons ago and has a few pieces of really nice form to his name.

Related to the likes of Elegant Escape and Monbeg Dude so loads of stamina in his breeding lines. Obviously negatives as you'd expect for one of this price but certainly don't have him as a 150-1 shot and think he's one who could absolutely relish the marathon distance and ground.

Yeah, mentioned him on page 2 Can't Catch Me

Managed to boost him with Hills to around the 180/1 mark

Quite like his profile too. I'm a sucker for horses who have a spin over hurdles prior to a National too.

Nice one! Missed that sorry mate. Price seems mental, albeit it looks a very high class renewal this year.

As for The Masters, its beyond boring and obvious but just can't see past the two principals myself and will be having a dabble on the dual forecast. Golf is the sport I follow most closely from a gambling point of view and struggling to find anyone to back outside of these two right now! Course form, recent form, major pedigrees. Could be some shoot out.

….been no rain to speak of for a while here in Liverpool. The turf is usually lush but I suspect they’ll be watering.

Schauffelle and aberg would by my two against them

Expect schauffelle to be an even bigger threat in majors now he's off the mark. He was a bottler but winning his 2nd major shooting 31 on the back 9 just shows what winning the 1st one did for his confidence.

Aberg just looks like the next Rory to me and it's only a matter of time till he wins one. Generational talent. Will probably back him in all of them this year and next before giving up hahaha.

It’ll be touch and go him getting in.
He has a one in three chance at the moment due to being a ballot between him, shakemupHarry, and Roi Mage as all on same hcap mark (according to racing post). Let’s hope two more defect to guarantee a run. Gutted I’ve missed the price as didn’t think he would make it. 66s available….the dream is on!!

….Duffle Coat with a haircut in the last couple of hours, all 100-1 gone and now a best 66-1.

                    I've bet him too.

The Gordon Elliott-trained runner is due to carry the same 10st 4lb weight as Shakem Up'Arry and Roi Mage but in the event of a tie the pecking order is determined by each horse's current handicap rating. Duffle Coat's British mark of 145 is unchanged from when Grand National weights were announced in February but Shakem Up'Arry is now 2lb lower and Roi Mage 5lb lower.
                      He's in.....

Obviously got huge respect for both players but feel this might come a bit soon for Schauffele after surgery. Was surprised just how far off it he was at Bay Hill and The Players. Much more like it last time and he has excellent form here, but don't think he's back at 100% yet and he will need to be.

Ludvig is a bit of a conundrum to me. Clearly got all the ability in the world but still very inconsistent and never sure which Ludvig is going to turn up. Hasnt won anywhere near enough when you consider the chances he has had and his ability, so I do have a couple of question marks over his temperament. Could have said the same about Scottie not that long ago, and sure he will get there, but 14/1 is very short. Much of that is due to his 2nd place last year. Personally I think he just had a very hot week with the putter.. think he was over 2 strokes gained putting and well clear of the field. So was perhaps flattered by that. He's very streaky and could catch a hot week but he's not for me this time around.

Think Russell Henley will be a solid EW play and hopefully be close to 50/1 with extra places.

…..Hitman finally cut by Hills, 150-1 into 100-1. Note he’s one of Sean Boyce’s ones to follow for the National

Kandoo Kid as low as 16-1, Hills are offering 12-1 about Paul Nicholls training the big race winner.

Dan Skelton takes the wraps off his strong team of Grand National Festival runners as he bids to become champion trainer for the first time.
