Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Top planning. Are you going to Aintree? Isn't it in your neck of the woods?

I'm not FM. It isn't that far away. About 20 miles. The race day experience up here isn't very enjoyable any more. I know it's probably the same in most places but Haydock and Aintree have major drug problems. Its like trying to get through Tony Montana's prison camp attempting to go to the toilet. I don't understand how folk can't just enjoy a drink. Fighting, everyone squeezing into the bogs for some Colombian marching powder, throwing beer. Just don't enjoy attending any more. I like to go further a field. I was planning on heading to Ripon with the ex for a weekend and taking in Fountains Abbey, been to the Abbey a few times but not the races but, well, she is now an ex and im not going on my bill love the summer racing, even if its just sat in the garden with a bucket of alcohol

You should give Aintree on the Thursday a try. I've been going for around 15 years and haven't seen any trouble - it's my favourite day of racing. I have noticed the long queues of lads waiting for the toilet cubicles as soon as the gates open though! It's sad really.

I'd support that. Mind you, I enjoy the Friday too. Both cracking days out.

            • Too late for the Yankee as I’m only just working my way through the Raceform. Having got to the Mares Novice and having thought through my pocket that Sixandahalf had it won I was amazed to see Air Of Entitlement now her down. Neither were stopping as the growing distance to the rest of the field indicates. The winner must be some mare and her breeding indicates that the 2m3f of the Mares next year will be right up her street. This has to be her destination. I have a strong feeling about this one and 12/1 looks a fair price in my opinion.

I'd be very surprised if Air of Entitlement isn't a lot better than Sixandahalf next season

She's much bigger, much less experienced and a proper national hunt slow burner.

The question is does she stay over hurdles or go chasing?

She's by westerner out of a stowaway mare which is a proper chasing pedigree

I'd need to hear something either way and need to know the plans for Brighterdaysahead and jade de grugy before backing her for either race.

Always sensible to do a manual yankee just as a rule of thumb
Stupid question why is it always better to do a manual Yankee? Is this for potential cash out?
