Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

    • Has anything further been said about Jasmin de Vaux, 14/1 Stayers I'd be very interested in but read somewhere in here Mullins has said he goes chasing...

Mullins seems to send everything chasing

I think we'd be hoping he can't jump a fence at all for it to happen

          OK thanks.
He couldn't accommodate all his novice chasers this season and given the volume of graded novice hurdlers he currently has there's no reason to think that'll change next year.
          We live in hope...

He could win the stayers basically every season if he wanted too but he really doesn't seem overly interested

Very interesting post race stuff. Bromley basically said “too small for chasing; stayers hurdle campaign awaits”. 5-minutes later Willie is saying he’ll go novice chasing. Who knows. I did get the impression Willie was saying anything that came to mind after some of his winners this week.

Owners swayed over IEP staying over hurdles didn't they?

Maybe Willie will use that as evidence they should listen to him

                  • Which of the following novice hurdlers would you prefer to back for next season at current best prices:

                    Kopek Des Bordes 5/1 Arkle
                    Final Demand 6/1 BANC
                    The Yellow Clay 8/1 BANC
The New Lion 7/1 Champion Hurdle
Jasmin De Vaux 14/1 Stayers Hurdle

In order, I think I'd go JDV, TNL, TYC.

Personally really like the Ballymore form (even though that’s been an expensive route to go down in the last few years), and have backed the related TNL (CH) / TYC (BANC) double as a result. If I didn’t back TNL for the Champion Hurdle pre-Ballymore, I think he’d be top of my list of those above.

Jasmin De Vaux the target has to be a concern with Willie making comments about going chasing - I also get the feeling he might be one to look average early and mid season and get pushed out in price along the way before putting in an improved performance again at the festival. That being said, I have done a couple
of related doubles with JDV (Stayers) and a couple of the placed Bartlett horses in the BANC.

Kopek Des Bordes currently at the top of my roll up target list, Final Demand I’m happy to leave for now (excepting maybe a related double with TNL), at the prices I’d rather go with a couple of the placed horses from the Albert Bartlett for the BANC.

Yes they did if I recall correctly. So it could happen.

Here’s the interview I was referring to where Bromley sounds very sure: https://www.racingtv.com/watch/on-de...al-2025/721649

                        • ….hoping the Punchestown (and to a lesser degree Aintree) WTAF offers will be of real interest in the next month or so.

                            Thanks for this.
Always a very considered speaker is Bromley so his comments have value to me, 14/1 isn't a jackpot price but it's enough to convince me to have a small play...

I think it's a great price for the stayers, and the Brown Advisory price wouldn't interest me at all. If he goes over fences, I'll likely leave him alone.

                              • Horrible race for betting ante post but do we assume Banbridge will abandon any Gold Cup thoughts next season ?
I've seen 12/1 for the Ryanair, not a price I can fall in love with but tempted to add to a multi or two...
