Thursday is a big day for me.

Lucky place for the stayers, I won't bore everyone to death with my reasoning but he gets my vote and if Durham Edition would like to hear why I'm sure he can let me know

Bugise seagull in the pertemps is another I've made known I like the chances of, I'd like to see either the wallpark, monmiral or Franciscan rock take up their entry to give him a nice weight, otherwise he'll be up near the topweight.
Down at the bottom of the weights and needing a few to come out though is zain nights, I gave my reasoning for him in the pertemps thread when he was 50/1 but would still be happy to have him in this Yankee now @ a general 25/1.

I'd also give my backing for protektorats inclusion, although I haven't formed a strong opinion on the Ryanair yet.

Thanks AaronLad please feel free to put your Lucky Place thoughts in here. Zain Nights is one I'm looking at, with his run behind The Wallpark and Gowel Road.

I like Thecompanysergeant's profile. He's had plenty of experience during the summer before being given a break. He finished 6l behind Spillane's Tower (now rated 164) in a Grade 1 chase in March and has had more experience in Grade 3 races where he was far from disgraced. He is rated 139 for the race which seems lenient to me. He also appears to like a bit of decent ground which he is likely to get as it currently stands. 14/1 for The Jack Richards is good value imo.

Thursday is a hard day but my absolute favourite day (Especially now there is another 2M4F chase!)

Plate - I have been on Crebily for a while but looking at the forecast, it is almost certain to be Good to Soft. For me this brings Il Ridoto into contention. Very strong on him for this last year but Nicholls ran him 3 weeks before Cheltenham and then it was a standing start and he got too far behind and you have to be up with the pace. This year, he goes fresh, will get good in the ground and is rate 1lb less than last year. He will go off 10/1 / 12/1.

Nov Chase - Everyone I speak to says he wont come here but I would love Massacio to come here. Ran off top weight when getting beat by Jagwar however he jumped beautifully that day and the weight caught up with him. There may be classier horses in this and I like Jagwar a lot but these 2m4F Chases catch so many horses out and I can see it happening here. Experience over potential talent every day.

          Good luck!

Monbeg Park franked the form of JOB’s Jordans today, he’s shaped well over fences & has been put away since a Christmas 2nd in the Faugheen. He could have a few lbs in hand.

Entered in the Novice handicap chase & the Plate.

Last years second in the Kim Muir Git Maker looks very well in off the same mark, he was beaten by a graded horse in a handicap who’s rated 160 now, GM went on to finish 3rd in the Scottish National

            20/1 NRNB or 33/1 antepost B365

He’s entered in the Midlands National too though so not sure what he plan is.

’He is a horse that I am very sweet on I think he was my standout from this morning’s work. I feel that we are just getting him where we want him. He fell at Carlisle and had to have six weeks off and wasn’t fit at Exeter. I still think he will improve for that run, and he is bucking and kicking, and he is in the two and a half mile novices’ handicap and the National Hunt Challenge Cup Novices’ Handicap. I think he will go over two and a half unless we got a lot of fine weather, and it dried out. He is a horse who hasn’t won over fences, but he took a while to win over hurdles as well and then was second in the EBF Final after winning at Ascot. I am very sweet on him. (Ben Pauling)
The CompanySergeant - Cromwell says he’s his ‘dark horse’. Has a number of entries but JR has been mentioned, should be clearer when selections are made.

Path D’Oroux - despite Yosser putting him in his Yankee, Cromwell says he’s heading for the Plate. Looked at the trends last night and this fella is ticking plenty of boxes.
Ginny’s Destiny - Nicholls has confirmed this is the target and dropped in that the owners are coming on the Thursday. I get the impression he likes this one and he has been supported these last few days.
’He had a good season last year winning three at Cheltenham and ran very well in the Turners Novices’ Chase and he ran second in the Grade 1 at Aintree. He had two hard races and took a little time to get over that. He has run ok but not as well as we hoped he would in three runs this season but takes a lot of time to get fit. I think we have him fit now and he has dropped a bit in the handicap and is down to 149. We are going to run him in the Plate Handicap on the Thursday and hope he comes back to form. He tends to like Cheltenham and likes the New Course. He is still in the Ryanair but now he’s dropped down a bit we won’t run him in that. I think he is paying the price of some hard races last season, but we are very happy where he is now, and he will head to the handicap on the Thursday.’
I hate the fact that i must agree Eggs. He actually hits more trends in the plate than the grand annual.

Eggs, what will bring me peace is, you have said previously that you have scored at Villa Park. Was that for Aston Villa in the 90's? if it was for the opposition, i would have hated you........................... Love you now though
