Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

With the light ribbing in the Triumph thread, and watching the jumping data on RTC just now I thought about if there was a yankee taking on the 'wrong favs'

    Starting with that Triumph market....
Lulamba (2/1) and East India Dock (3/1) you can argue are the wrong way around

    East India Dock (3/1)

MNH - I'm a big fan of Sixandahalf (4/1) as I've been bleating on about and Maughreen I don't think deserves to be favourite all things considered right now (7/2)

    Sixandahalf (4/1)

A popular looking 'weak' favourite is The New Lion (5/2) in the Turners.... one of these 3?

The Yellow Clay (8/1) / Final Demand (8/1) / Kopek Des Bordes (9/1) - all popular in behind?

Back to the start, Supreme, Salvator Mundi didn't blow anyone away, so he's an option too?

    Romeo Coolio (6/1)?

BANC - Ballyburn (11/4) seemed not wholly 'the one' on the novice chase thread with a lot more love for Dancing City (10/3)

There is the Mares Chase with Dinoblue and Biolumiescence

Teahupoo obviously for some is one to take on, I'd have him in the 'more solid fav' camp though with Sir Gino (of course some may fancy Maj) and Galopin....

    Any others to consider?

I think you can make a reasonable case for taking on any favs this year with the possible exception of GDC and Sir Gino.

But in terms of being the wrong fav, I definitely agree with Lulamba and Maughreen.

Dinoblue would be a maybe. But she has the back form and whilst she was average FTO, it was only at Xmas that I really felt she was below par.

TNL and Ballyburn - we’ll know more after this weekend when their main challengers have been out on track. If Cheltenham was tomorrow though, I’d take on TNL but I’d be with Ballyburn.

I see the case for Romeo Coolio, but I think I’d be with Mundi, just.

I would suggest The Yellow Clay in the Bartlett too, purely as he’s more likely to head elsewhere. At the prices, I like Jet Blue. Course form and form which has been boosted by the River Don. But again, the DRF will tell us more - it might be the Nathaniel Lacy winners’s target.

Jonbon and Gaelic could switcheroo should Gaelic win impressively Sunday and it be another Soft ground Fez.

Dinoblue possibly, with the emergence of Bioluminescence.

I was weirdly just yesterday pondering a wrong favs double of EID and 61/2. Feels like they might also get talked up on the preview circuit by people trying not to be obvious
