Massive thanks to you Middle_Of_March for your effort over the seasons. It's a tough gig, but you've managed to do it year in year out.

I'm not sure anyone was meant to cause any serious offence, but some clarity was needed, and I'm aware you also requested help when required and Eggs among others have stepped in to do so.

I hope you don't feel like your efforts were not appreciated, because they were and and still are

Some of us on here have more free time than others, and that's ultimately all it boils down to in the end. It is a hobby (for me at least), and it shouldn't take over your life.

Hopefully we'll still see some posts from you whether on this thread or another, who else is going to bang the Gaelic Warrior drum forever

I know from personal experience how much time and effort managing ongoing info diaries take, on FJ.

So I can easily see the time it would take to sift through a months posts and pull together a final decision, for so long.

Not easy to reduce a dozen selections down to 4 ., every Month ... .

…..it’s an amazing place a forum like this. We chat daily but we’d walk past each other in the street without knowing. We love our horse racing but none of us know the reality of what’s going on in our lives.

Our friend Middle_Of_March has run these Yankees for as long as I’ve been here and every year has resulted in a profit for me, blindly following a bloke who knows his selections. I’m sure he has reasons for passing on the baton but I won’t pretend to be as good with selections as him.

I’m happy to facilitate discussion and keep the threads in order but I suggest the way forward is for a different FJ to take up the mantle and volunteer as ‘Captain’ each month. It’ll be dependent on you guys. I’ll start the January thread soon.

in the meantime, I hope MOM continues to contribute and maybe volunteers himself at some point when he feels ready to do so.

Giving the thread a post Leopardstown bounce. Assume we are doing one in December, for post Christmas.

Two Henry horses for me. The Big Westerner who has now impressed and in differently run races, at Punchestown and now Limerick. Still fancy odds for the AB.

Workahead had a lot to like in the manner of his win in the novice hurdle at Leopardstown on Friday following his 3rd behind Jasmin de Vaux and The Enabler (that won today) early in the month at Navan. Could be similar to Slade Steel and be a bit under the radar for the Supreme.

Both still at lively prices.
