No idea what to make of that. Form line through Jerry From Kerry who got put away by Kalypso'chance.
Likely one that looks too good to be true.
If you take the Limerick run it beat Heads Up over 10 lengths - who then was beat 4 lengths by Kalypso. Appreciate that’s a literal take, but enough to believe there’s some substance & maybe not just a freak result

Yep I’d be more inclined to read into that then the heads up form line from his racecourse debut when he clearly didn’t run to expectation. I think he’s beaten a load of trees there. That price for the bumper is criminal. Commentator got very excited, must have near wet himself. That’s probably impacted the price too

It was a listed race with 9 of the opposition also having won a bumper race! He has destroyed them by 14 lengths with the fav in 2nd suggesting form is reliable. That is by far the best form we have seen. However, will he go to Cheltenham? Will they even stick with bumpers? It was the horses 4th start on the flat and though it is late, they could give him a spin over hurdles. There is a good chance that with three months to go then something will improve past him anyway, let alone the fact the race normally is a big field mess. Down the 6s and 7s now, assuming he doesn't run again he would be that price on the day.
He doesn't even qualify for the bumper does he? That was his 4th bumper run. Only allowed 3 before the Cheltenham bumper.
The following changes will be introduced for the start of the 2023/24 season:
1. A maximum of three runs permitted in National Hunt Flat races.
The only exceptions will be where:
the fourth run is in the Grade 1 Champion Bumper at Cheltenham, or the Grade 2 NHF at Aintree. Where the fourth run is in the Grade 1 Champion Bumper at Cheltenham, a further fifth run is permitted in the Grade 2 NHF at Aintree.
Doesn't look like it unless it's changed again this season?

I can't remember seeing a change but maybe someone else knows. If he isn't qualified, all bets should be refunded. Was anything said after the race by the trainer?

Dont believe theres been any changes to the bumper rules, so yeah wouldn't qual

They finished in a heap in behind, most of them had scrambled home in poor bumpers in their previous race. Form looks poor imo. I’m not questioning the winners general ability as he put them away in style, I’m questioning his price in terms of winning the Cheltenham bumper based on everything we know. We haven’t even seen Willies weapons yet. I’d be shocked if he’s not bigger on the day. Personally I’d have him down as a 20/1 shot

Pipe said: “We’re very excited with our boy. We’ll go for one of the big spring bumpers now, it was a very good performance.
“We thought he’d run a big race, but there were plenty of other winners in the race. He’s taken us back a bit!
“He’d always been a good work horse, but he just eats and sleeps at home and then wakes up on the gallops.
“He’s quite keen, he likes to race out in front and get on with it and that’s what he’s like at home, but in his stable he’s so quiet.”
Paddy Power initially cut the winner to 14-1 from 50-1 for the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival in March, but soon trimmed his odds further to 8-1. William Hill installed the Pipe runner as the 7-1 joint-favourite for the championship event alongside Gordon Elliott’s Kalypso’chance.

On those rules he wouldn’t have been able to run today - so not sure that’s accurate. Also, Dirty Den ran in last years Champion Bumper after 4 previous bumper starts?

His first 3 runs were in those 'junior' bumpers, which may not be counted
