Probably because it's another Giggingstown horse ? I know they aren't totally against putting one in these days but they still like to go softly, softly with most of their better young horses.

British P2P purchase! That’s probably why. Not many of them do much in bumpers.

Gordon says “a horse of next year” so one I’ll be staying away from until I see an entry in one of Gordon’s go to bumpers.

Elliott said: “He looks a nice horse and is a big stayer for next year.

“He has a good attitude, and you’d like the way he dropped his head and galloped to the line.

“He looked flat out halfway down the back. He’ll stay in bumpers this season and he’s a next year horse really.”

Gives the impression he has a few better at home perhaps.

If he has then they must be something because that was special.

Let’s hope Josh Stacey is right and Ma Jacks Hill is a bit more special

Gigg haven't always been that keen on Champion Bumper.....know they have had the odd runner recently, but that's a v short price

He's also only 4 at the mo......another reason one could see them ducking Chelt

Sortudo runs in the Tramore bumper tomorrow. He was 2nd to Ma Jacks Hill in his PTP.

Meetmebythesea winning there, was 2nd to He Can't Dance in their PTP. Mentioned by Elliott in RP's jump off.

Sortudo wins easy enough. Unlikely to be one of Willie's best, but bodes well for Ma Jack's Hill who beat Sortudo in his PTP.

Patrick Mullins said afterwards, “Authorized is a brilliant sire and Jody did well to get him settled. I think there should be a lot of improvement in him.

“He’s an exciting horse going forward and will probably stay in bumpers this year.

“We’ll see how he comes out of the race and look at Leopardstown over Christmas. He could be at the top end of our bumper horses.” Karniquet ridden by Jody’s brother Paul, also caught the eye when taking the opening maiden hurdle on the card.

Crikey. If that’s one of their best then it’s a good boost for MJH or they don’t have a great crop this year. The first one to get the “Christmas” appointment .

I'll stick my neck out and say that its far from inconceivable that Sortudo couldn't reverse that 2l defeat by Ma Jacks Hill (who'd had previous P2P experience too). Sortudo came from off the pace that day and couldn't reel in the eventual winner. Sortudo also has the stronger page. Given relative improvement from each trainer, they could be both on a similar level this season.
