    • Gameofinches is declared for Willie and the Good Professor on Sunday.
Very impressive turn of foot in his Point win and unusual for a 5 year-old (now 6) to be bought. He had had his issues but is very interesting.
I know many were waiting for Ksar Fatal for this but take a look at this lad.
Willie is a creature or habit and has won this for the last 3 years with some of his best horses:
James Gate, Ballyburn and Sounds Victorious

Unibet are slightly more forgiving than the other shithouse bookies if that turns out to be a good bet. You might lose your uniboosts though

            • 20s NRNB if anyone wants to continue with bumper roulette.

Prof Tisdall has been buying a fair number lately. She's also part owner of Pipes horse.

He should be hurdling at that age!

He was a good winner and achieved a high rating for a 5yo. He looks like he's got a fair engine as he poured it on from a fair way out. Won very comfortably and no surprise he's been snapped up by powerful connections. He looks a fair size too so shouldn't be found wanting coming up the hill.

                    Many thanks.
Would 20/1 NRNB scream value to you ?

                    • ….Gameofinches seems popular, cut 16-1 with PP. 365 still 20-1 NRNB, BFSB 20-1 AP.

Depends how many you've already backed
If you're light on selections so far then it's a fair price with NRNB. It's a proven route that Willie likes for decent horses so it's reasonable value.

Well I don’t bookbuild and have no cashout so every bet I place has to be considered.
His PTP win was obviously impressive and form has been boosted by several of those he galloped over, his RPR would be impressive enough too.
I don’t read every stable tour and I don’t recall this one being mentioned before this week (in here) and there are clearly some very clever and shrewd people in here who are usually all over things like this, he just seems to have appeared from nowhere.
                          Happy to take the flyer…

He was purchased after the early season stable tours and they've given him a break by the look of it to bring him back at the end of this season. So it's no surprise that he's not been mentioned in the public domain that much to date. Of course, now the entry appears it that particular race, he's going to be popular.

                            Take the NRNB for sure.

Copacabana would be the same as he wasn't in any stable tours (but hadn't ran in a PTP either). Hard to find information this year on a number of the bumper horses.

Kalypso never got a mention by Gordon either, fawned all over his others and Kalypso seems to be his best one.

It's been an odd year for the bumper compared to the past few years where on here we had a general idea which horses would prove best. All set up for something to arrive late to be the best, or just a mess of a race with a bunch finish.

                              • Usually we end up hearing a leak about which bumper horses won a schooling race to sort the behind the scenes pecking order

Last year it was Romeo Coolio but then he flopped on track before 'bouncing back' on the days itself

I haven't heard any rumours this year though about schooling races
