I want to say a Dermot Weld horse but I can't be arsed to look

    • Sine Qua Non declared at Navan on Saturday to be ridden by Derek O’Connor and owned by JP. Won his P2P at Lingstown in November by 48 lengths, receiving an RPR of 97, the highest of the season so far. The 2nd in the P2P, Loaded And Locked, won a P2P over the weekend. Might be of interest in a race where nothing is screaming out so far. Might be worth a little wager. Thoughts ?

Glancing Queen was the King horse.
I'm sure one or two others have also.

….40-1 PP/SB the best available, 25-1 NRNB. Interesting if those prices shorten.

Spinningayarn finally declared after getting a pre-season mention by Brian Acheson. Notice William Munny won the race last year, could be a decent little contest.

I couldn't let it go. It was Vigil for Dermot Weld. 5th behind stablemate Silver Concorde in 2014 and 5th again behind Moon Racer in 2015.

Wouldn’t be a great sign for kalypso backers if that happens

Does JP put many in the Bumper ? No entries in 2022 and 2024. 1st and 2nd in 2023.

                • If you're betting on JPs, I'd say do NRNB. I'm surprised they've got him out so quickly.

Whoever wins this will be a nice horse - good race.

                  • DRF entries out

Only the 2 for Willie - Green Splendour and Sortudo. Elliott's got 5 entered - all Gigginstown owned.

Mares bumper looks great. Amen Kate, Future Prospect, Blue Velvet all mentioned plenty. Emmett's mare is decent, Bambino Fever won well last time, Quellys beat Sortudo last time.

                      • He's got to go straight there hasn't he. Big ask after a year off. And last seasons bumper form hasn't stood up great anyway. Although this years crop also look poor. Adds a bit of interest to the race I guess. As much as a second season bumper horse should be banned imo...

Not sure but 25-1 NRNB looks worth a shot

I’d say both he and Spinningayarn are likely stayers in the future. But that doesn’t preclude them from winning bumpers. The Robcour horse would be an unlikely festival runner even if he did prevail. However, it looks like it’s a four horse race and the Barry Connell horse could spoil the party.
