  • This race now depends on Lossie turning up or not

If she still goes CH, then wide open.....Willie still has 3 in Honeysuckle colours to run this year.....cant all be injured?

July Flower def one in hunt and happy was on

Both will go CH. Mares Hurdle value is where everyone should be looking as I've said before.

As is quite common with yourself.
You're missing the obvious issue with your theory.
It seems fairly obvious now that the mares will clash in the Irish Champion.
Both trainers have fuck all to lose and an Irish Champion to gain.
State Man is a busted flush.

You're banking on a very close race in the Irish Champion and them both opting to take on Con Hill ?
But the stronger likelihood is that one is beaten and then the temptation/choice to go Mares becomes greater, otherwise you're taking on a horse that's just beaten you + Con Hill + others like Anzadam etc
Or being odds on favourite for a grade one at the festival.

Get your logic, , but not sure...BDA had 3 runs....they might go straight there

Id still be looking for other Mares value whilst both in the market....as at least one will go CH

I thought they would go straight there, but Gordon mentioned Irish Champion after the race.
And it makes sense for both stables to match them up prior to Cheltenham and let the winner go and face C Hill.

On your second point, so would I.

The conditions of the race don't suit her and they suit Anzadam.
Willie looks at these sort of things.
And Con Hill might also be in that.
I could be wrong and he may want to go that way, but with State Man looking a forlorn hope the keeping them apart no angle is no longer relevant.

Maybe more likely to go DRF now I reckon with State Man bombing out

That leaves Anzadam to go International as planned

Yep, Lossie is now their best hope of winning the Irish Champion on what we saw today and they will want her there I would think.Otherwise they are giving the race away. And he won’t want to be doing that.

                        • I'll be very surprised if Lossiemouth doesn't line up here personally,I'd like to see her in the CH but Willie has shown time & time again that he places horses in his care where they're best placed to win,for Lossie its over a middle distance trip against her own sex.

As for BDA it'd be silly to not have a crack at the CH after today, but whatever happens at the DRF will determine her fate.

They'll want to get her confidence back so a penalty kick in the International will do that.....plus I'll be there to cheer her on which obviously is a bonus for the Mullins camp.

                            Are you listening Willie !!!

Well obviously you being there will be in their thoughts, but I think the chance of another Irish Champion will
                              hold sway

Con Hill could be in the international?

Could also see BDA going straight to the festival now, that will have exerted plenty out of her there and Gordon aint afraid to keep one fresh for March
