        • What great news.....

Jade De Grugy Close Brothers Mares' Hurdle, 14-1
She hasn't been seen out yet this season as she got a setback. She'll return in a hurdle race at Punchestown in about ten days' time, the race Annie Power won a few years ago, which we've used before for some of our good mares. I'm very happy with all her homework and she's going for the Mares' Hurdle.

….i was only hovering over the 66-1 cash-out this morning, glad I didn’t now.

Think I cashed that ticket long ago Not regretting it though, things weren't sounding all that optimistic. Re-backed her now anyway, so hopefully she can come up with the goods.

Was very happy to read that

                  That's a bet I'd completely written off

You'd imagine they will leave plenty to work on at punchestown

Hopefully not much takes her on so she has a nice easy prep to prime her for Cheltenham

Time to start emailing Gordon and the olearys every day explaining why they have to run BDA in the champion

Hopefully her return goes well. If so she can put it up to BDA or send her down the CH route. BDA price in the Mares would be better though if Jade is back.

There wasn't much between them at Cheltenham last year. BDA had obviously improved a lot this year. Unlikely jade will have improved enough but you never know.

just nice to get a run for my money if all goes well

                        Would it?
Not sure it would make any difference.
Only Lossiemouth could possibly do that imo.

Yes, I do think so but We'll have to wait and see what Jade looks like on return. They were close in the MNH last year so BDA connections will see her as a big opponent. Both really disappointed in that race so it could be that neither appreciated the ups and downs of Cheltenham and that they disappoint again.

But which race will she run in at the festival…….Mares or Stayers?

With Jade De Grugy appearing to be back and her price shortening for the Mares, then with both being owned by the same owner, surely it’s the Stayers for Gala ?

Obviously though dependent upon how she runs on Saturday
