Walk in the park progeny don’t necessarily need it do they ?

The ground at Limerick is normally bog at Christmas but it was nowhere near heavy this time and she looked perfectly fine on it
Gavin said in recent stable tour needs soft ground or won’t run & really a 3 miler

Yep. 2 1/2 on Soft around Cheltenham would be foot perfect. Get those conditions and she's going to go off a short price. Hopefully the weather (wet) will be kind once again.

      • I've got way too much on Bioluminescence - double backed her NRNB at 9/2 each way and she's potentially going to go off far too short

Classic case of liking her a lot more before backing

I really like her. I'll be hoping the ground comes up soft enough for her though.

I can't cash out anyway, so stuck with the bet regardless.

If it does come up soft once again then she'd surely have a favourites chance. I'd expect Walsh to ride her as well under those conditions.

            • Mark on Bioluminescence and Paul on Dinoblue probably makes sense regardless

Not sure Allegorie De Vassy is where Paul would be if he got the choice

Not really worth speculating on now though - would move the needle though

              • Spindleberry got an entry next week.
Not Willies style to run so close, but she's still in there and the extra experience would have been needed anyway.

Was one of the Mares I had high hopes for this season, but huge shame she's only managed to get out once, and was pulled from her last race due to the ground being too quick and its Good again at Thurles (no idea whether theyre due rain). Time definitely running out for her though

                  • Not sure I have seen it on here but according to the Irish Examiner - Impervious has had another setback and will miss the Festival.

Colm Murphy's star mare Impervious has been ruled out of the Cheltenham Festival following a further setback.

Out of Season/Festival thread was updated 12th Feb....

Had pennies on her for the Mares Hurdle through the summer before it was announced she would be going chasing this year

She's declared to run in a mares beginners at Cork over 2m5 with Paul booked.

She obviously had nice solid novice hurdle form last season chasing home Jade De Grugy at Fairyhouse before losing all chance when 7/4 fav @ punchestown at the end of the season with a race ending mistake 4 out. She finished well infront of Only By Night @ Fairyhouse and she improved a tonne for chasing and I would hope that Spindleberry could do the same as she was a point winner.

25/1 is fair enough to have a go at with plenty ahead having question marks/NRs.

                        Impervious well being?
                        Halka retired

Jade de grugy setback so hurdling
                        Kargese hurdling
                        Brides Hill setback?
                        Bioluminescence would half interest me
                        Marsh Wren setback
Birdie or bust - JP bingo with her
Spindleberry put Bio away nicely there, even taking into account the weight she was getting

Whether they go or not who knows. Annoyingly cashed out the single on her from months ago when she was taken out of Thurles and had no entry for a while but gone back in on her and will listen to comments from Willie

I backed on exchange few months back and since laid off for a free.
But also backed prior to this NRNB.
Think she'd be un-penalised on the day so might be tempting for Willie and possibly Townend ride also.
That looked cosy enough, even with the weight concession.

Unlikely runner I reckon, due to Willie's habit, but we'll see

Obviously jade de grugy and gameofinches must be far more resilient horses as there doesn't seem much doubt about them going with the same gap between races
