    Yeah pretty much my thought after my original comment which is why I edited my post

    Haha and a classic case from me of finding a reason not to part with further funds on a race I have little love for

      No. She won't win that.

        I think she'd only run in it if one of the biggies didn't, so I think she's a good play at 25/1 NRNB personally

        • Only by night won’t stay the mares trip especially as well as some others in my view, no chance on the new course and if it rains I’d only be on bioluminescence.

            As well as who else MM?

            Shes a 3m point winner, and they went some lick there today - look at where FFF finished after racing alongside throughout, receiving 5lbs too.

            Wouldn't be one bit worried about her staying, unless it was bottomless, but then in that case anyway, I'd fancy Bio .

              I think it's between the two of them. Soft ground Bio, but anything else I'd be with Only By Night. Think she's brilliant.

              Backed both at big prices but will be cheering on ONB

              • I think Telepathique is a live one for this race. All the leading protagonists have some negatives. I think it’s quite open.

                  Cherie d'Am may interest you then. She stuffed Telepathique with little excuses, IMO. She then went up against the geldings in the G2 Towton Novices Chase, where she fell, when weakening, but the winner that day was Handstands no less, who obviously then went on to win the Scilly Isles and is now rated 154. The 2nd also went and won next time out.

                  I've no idea on the plans for Cherie d'Am but she's not been seen since falling so maybe there's reason to take caution with her, but she's almost double the price of Telepathique on the exchanges, when she's already handed that one a beating.

                  I've played a few pennies on there for her.

                  • More i look at this, i wonder if some of the novices form is over-rated and the key players and value is more obvious....

                    Using best RPRs this season as a guide with penalties added....

                    ADV = 154
                    Dino = 158-5
                    Tele = 151
                    Brides = 151-3
                    Bio = 143-3
                    Only 139-3
                    Spind 132

                    Note - Lim Lace only run to 132 this season and career best is 153. Would carry 3 pound penalty, but sounds like may go straight to National anyway

                    In that list, Brides Hill only runs on good ground and Bio only on very soft ground, plus Only By Night could go Arkle

                    You can still get...

                    Dino 9/2 (offer)
                    ADV 7/1
                    Tele 14/1

                    We know the top two definitely go and likely Tele does too

                    ADV will have Paul riding and looks great EW value, but Dino looks good bet too at prices

                        No, you're not alone. Will be Paul's ride. The ideal horse for each way multiples in another race that will cut up.

                        • Anyone know or have heard any news regarding Shecouldbeanything. I believe it was Sax who mentioned her months back at 100/1 and so had a nibble each way. She ran frequently between September and December and has hopefully been put away in mind for this race. Really hoping for a run and would be thrilled if she could run into a place at those odds

                          • Can anyone shed any light on why bioluminescence would need very soft conditions ?

                            Walk in the park progeny don’t necessarily need it do they ?

                            The ground at Limerick is normally bog at Christmas but it was nowhere near heavy this time and she looked perfectly fine on it

                              The last I heard was she like many of Gordon's, would be given a break until the Mares Chase.
