Joking aside , her stamina will be severely tested at Exeter even over the minimum trip. Proper slog around there at this time of year.

Will be a good test of both mares though! Looking forward to it.

Won't be in a rush to back Only By Night off the back of that, personally.
That said, the runner up has been ridden to get the trip and the front two gave her a target to aim at.
Fun Fun Fun weak at the finish though, so maybe Only By Night done it well given the way she ran the race.Last edited by ComplyOrDie; 9 February 2025, 02:13 PM.

I saw it differently COD. Jumped really well. Safe, neat and sound over every fence. Her jumping put FFF under pressure at every fence and Keith eased up after last and then had to go again when 2nd horse came after her. Thought she won very easily. I'm on her for Mares Chase and I am happy with the bet and todays performance. Different strokes for different folks eh.

...but win was never really in doubt, think the runner up a little flattered
Only By Night just dominated Fun Fun Fun then still won against a horse only ridden to pick up the pieces
Although as already on before the race it's a classic case of seeing what I want to see
