I'd be hugely interested in Only By Night if Gavin changed his mind about coming over with her, she oozed class since going over fences, and could be the real up and coming mare in the division.

Agree Darlo. Waiting until Decs is the best way to go. There will still be some decent prices about to get our teeth into. No point playing the guessing game.

      • Cromwell has another mare, begins with a B who bolted up on chase debut, long name, can’t mind who she beat to search it or her name for that matter

That’s the one, won a lot comfier than the 3 length suggests. That was 2m6f, Grade 2 mares race on debut, beat shecouldbeanything who had plenty of experience by that point.

Yeah I like her as a horse, but the one thing putting me off her is Dereks quotes post race

'the further the better, the softer the better' were his words

And also said he'd have loved to have had the NHC still around as she'd have been a perfect candidate for it. Didn't scream to me that the Mares Chase had been in the plans

Must be a huge worry if the ground came up on the better side too

                  Bioluminescence I believe Craigy14.

Edit: would help if I read the replies first

Cheers for the quotes hadn’t seen that. She’s only had the one run so hopefully have a change of heart.

Shes fairly short knowing that info, I’d want bigger as well.

I really like her. I thought her jumping was so impressive on debut. Being by Walk In The Park, i think the midtrip will be fine. Didn't Derek mention Corbetts Cross would be better over shorter, although the GC is his main aim, so I wouldn't be too concerned about the trip. As long as the ground is not good then I think she'll also he fine. JP's other horses for this race haven't shown the same level of form this year so I'm hoping Bioluminescence will be his and Gavin's main dart.

                      • As a Dinoblue backer I'd be quite happy for Bioluminescence to be JPs main dart as well. Dino may not get the same treatment as last year in that case...

                        • Haha yes Townend on Dinoblue would be a big plus!!

                          • Bioluminescence entered for a 3m race, a little concerning for this race.

She’s also a novice and a less experienced one(points and rules) than the one the same trainer says might not be experienced enough. Also wasn’t just Derek. Gavin was very clear as well. She definitely comes with risks.
