JP does have several others that are well fancied to win the MC and Dinoblue is his only real option in the Champion Chase other than Bon Jovi so I can see why they'd go that route even if it meant place prospects only. Fully expect them to enter her for both races and see how the CC is shaping up nearer the time especially how this year's race panned out.
Probably right about connections waiting to see who else turns up come the week itself, but I’m just not sure her best 2m form would even place even with a couple of defects.

As it stands you’ve got Jonbon and then 2 from 3 from WPM (El Fab, Energumene, Gaelic Warrior). She’s rated on par with Gaelic (who hasn’t ran in open company yet), then, 5, 6 and 11lbs below the others even accounting for the mares allowance.

She was beat by Banbridge and Captain Guinness at Punchestown last season with no excuses it seems. She was also booked for third before Banbridge shipped the jockey at the weekend (given 7lbs by banbridge which is what she would receive in a Grade 1 anyway). She comes out not looking too bad against Energumene but at the same time, he was having his first run for 18months on ground probably more in her favour than his imo.

I’d fancy her strongly for the mares, she’ll makes amends this year imo. Poor ride and ground imo were the cause of her not winning this year.

It'll be down to JP and he already has last year's winner , Birdie or Bust and Impervious potentially for the MC which is more than enough so he just doesn't need Dinoblue as well imo. I'm sure that's why she's still a backable price because she's unlikely to run.

Of course JP will decide but not sure those you mention are worth being too concrete about. Birdie Or Bust is a novice and only had the 1 run. Impervious is coming back from a long layoff and yet to be seen. That leaves Limerick Lace who’ll likely be aimed at the national again imo. If conditions aren’t as atrocious Dinoblue is the most likely winner imo.

One that looks to have gone under the radar is Spindleberry

Had pennies on her for the Mares Hurdle through the summer before it was announced she would be going chasing this year

She's declared to run in a mares beginners at Cork over 2m5 with Paul booked.

She obviously had nice solid novice hurdle form last season chasing home Jade De Grugy at Fairyhouse before losing all chance when 7/4 fav @ punchestown at the end of the season with a race ending mistake 4 out. She finished well infront of Only By Night @ Fairyhouse and she improved a tonne for chasing and I would hope that Spindleberry could do the same as she was a point winner.

25/1 is fair enough to have a go at with plenty ahead having question marks/NRs.

                Impervious well being?
                Halka retired
                Only By Night NR
Jade de grugy setback so hurdling
                Kargese hurdling
                Brides Hill setback?
                Bioluminescence would half interest me
                Marsh Wren setback
Birdie or bust - JP bingo with her

It'll be unlike Willie to send her there as a Novice as I found out in previous years.

                        Would it?

Sent Colreevy, Concertista, Allegorie de Vassy as novices. If they're good enough they will take their chance.

He did it successfully with Colreevy, so it’s not an impossibility.

Its not but the more experienced Mares will have a considerable advantage.

henry de bromhead doesnt send novices to the race

                                4 runnings - 0 novices ran

1 open chaser ran - refused to race.

Maybe henry doesnt like the race?
