Don't understand why Dinoblue isn't a strong favourite for this race now? More than creditable run yesterday carrying 3lb more than Energumene and 6 lengths clear of a race fit Appreciate It. Should be close to a career best on RPR once they come out. Compare this to Limerick Lace who was tailed off in the mud of the Betfair Chase. Not sure how she currently sits on the weight penalty though I assume her G1 win will see her carry 11st 7lb again but LL will have 11st 5lb to carry for the win in the race last year. Arguably, given a better ride, Dinoblue would of won the race last year (Was ridden to get the trip) whilst her run yesterday still suggests she has a little bit to find with the best of these at 2m. All guns blazing for the Mares Chase I suspect again and should be ridden with more confidence. She will take a lot of beating in my mind (and get back the money with interest from last year!)

Not forgetting that come March every chance she should have Townend on board which has to be a serious plus...

….the race Only by Night won at the weekend has quite a roll of honour in Saxon’s race planner. She was available at 20-1 after the race but is now a best price 12-1 which is reasonable given the manner in which she won.

She's one I've backed and was really pleased with her run at the weekend, but Gavin sounded quite unsure about running her at Cheltenham in his interview after.

She is an improver, but still has a long way to go to get near to the front two. Don't think she is even the best chasing mare in the yard as prefer Brides Hill though she is ground dependant. 20/1 is about right for me.

Yeah by the sounds of that, she won't be on the ferry thats for sure

Twice Gary mentioned crossing the water with her, and Gavin shut him down both times, sounds like he's already got her novice chase season mapped out.

Wouldn’t Mark be in the plate? She looks JP’s number one at this stage.

I like the look of Birdie Or Bust. Really think she improves for the step up in trip and hopefully that's where we see her next.

Will wait for an entry before backing her though.

Obviously depends on what else Mullins plans for the race but if she's their gun then Townend will be on...

When has Paul ever been on a JP #1 ahead of Mark?

Mark will be on her if thats the #1 JP horse for the race.

Mark gets dibs on all JP’s (bar Henry’s) so will ride Dinoblue assuming she’s his no.1 in the race surely.

Does the decision not sit with Willie ?

                              Very very much doubt it?

Paul could have been on f2f if that was the case.

I think Paul would ride JP's number 1 if from Willie's yard over Mark but that's the only situation it happens in.
