Really hoping everything in Middle_Of_March world is ok but I suggest we need to address his continued absence and look for a mid-term solution.

By my reckoning, there’s only 4 more monthly Yankees to select and I suggest we look for a volunteer to take us through to the end of the season?

It’s the period when we have stable tours and runs to inform choices. I’d appreciate your thoughts.

We could even line-up the four months in advance, especially if FJs like Saxon Warrior and SeanRock have a preference.

You've done a great job of keeping these going, so I don't think you'll hear any grumblings on who you choose to step up with the future selections.

Maybe there could be 4 nominated FJ's a month with one pick each.

The 4 FJ's picked in advance/on 1st Month, so they each have up to a month to come up with their very best pick, and not try and source 4 themselves, as the reasoning for each may taper off, if your picking 4 not 1.

You probably want each persons one big pick, and if they got one each before the month end then place the bet earlier, not always wait until the 31st ?

Take the prices while theyre there.

They can discuss thoughts, with us, on the thread during the month.

First come first served on picks, maybe, unless they agree that the 2nd one to make a strong race suggestion is agreed to be the better option.

Maybe ask the gen-pop using the Yankee Thread, to vote and decide those.

Might not be many/any of those, but worth ironing out how to deal with them before the month starts.

I think this is a very good idea. One person picking four selections is a tough ask. Four people picking one each is a lot easier and brings a laser focus. I think this is a winner.

…happy to go with the flow but finding one FJ to Captain is easier than finding 4 each month to facilitate discussion on their nominations. The logistics might be difficult.

See what others think, if it’s popular there’s nothing to stop us trialing it this month.

….yep, when you didn’t show at the end of the month @Carnage at Thornton was good enough to volunteer and make the selections.

As you can see, I started a discussion about what we might do in coming months if you remained absent but I’m sure we’re good to go if you’re back and ready to take the lead?

Ok. I’m thinking we go themeless this month. Will have plenty of early season form to go off come December 1st-3rd when I put the final four in. I reckon we go the traditional route and simply go for four who’ve been nominated and discussed across the month.

Will use some of the stuff from the October thread too across the month and see where we end up.

Plenty of decent racing to go with.

Also, my intention (thought about this a couple of weeks ago) is to have a weekly round up on a Sunday/Monday of the main racing wow performances for that week and see where the forum thinks each will end up in March. Was thinking it’ll be interesting discussion as to targets from an earlier standpoint. Could be useful for both these Yankees and establishing a collective opinion as to who should theoretically go where. If plenty like a horse for a novice hurdle for example but 50% of the forum think it goes Supreme rather than Ballymore, it would be far smarter to avoid that horse for the month. If we can get the Yankees to be as popular as possible as a collective, I think that works well
