  • ……it’s decision day for MoM but I’m sure he’d welcome any late views, especially given the Mullins stable tour.

    • Classical Creek for the bumper based on Down Royal I guess

…yep, I highlighted on here that he was popular across the site. If MOM selects him 33-1 is still available, hoping he has a big haircut by Saturday evening.

….20-1 from 33-1 now with 365. Worth noting BookieBasher suggesting Classical Creek is not the Elliott no1.

Didn't LTR claim King Of Kingsfield was a couple of years back......

I am not convinced we should be looking anywhere but Closutton for the Bumper winner. Willie has won 4 of the last 5 and the fifth year Fact to File was 2nd to A Dream To Share. It's a brave man who sticks his head above the parapet and selects a non Mullins horse for Bumper in the monthly Yankee. Just saying.

I agree but if you get Elliott's number 1 in the book followed by Mullins then you're laughing.

But Willie has 10 runners in the race. Easier to get Gords on board first.

He has got a 25% successful rate in the last 8 years with several placed as well. Dangerous to ignore our Gordon. Fully appreciate Willie's record though. Tough finding his number 1!

Sir Gerhard a moral winner too. And this year, he’s definitely got a good crop of PTP horses. I’m definitely interested in finding his best one this year.

My racing group has a saying - 'you can stick your moral winners up your @rse'. A moral winner is an actual loser in the real world and it's a dangerous mindset to see it as anything different.

Except in this case. If you’d limited yourself to looking for the winner of the ‘21 Champion Bumper in Closutton in October of that season (as suggested above) you’d have lost your money.

                              • Anyone looking for the winner of the Champion Bumper in October should consider therapy. Building a book is all very well but, at this stage, there are literally so many possibilities that it's likely to be expensive unless you have inside knowledge.
