….i’ll put up Sixandahalf (MNH) with 16-1 available. Our Saxon Warrior posted this in his Punchestown review back in May, praise indeed;
‘Sixandahalf improved on her debut run to post 119 RPR - 25lbs of improvement on her 2nd lifetime start, and clearing away in the last furlong by 11 lengths.
That rating (adding in her 7lb allowance vs the geldings) comes out as 1lb shy of the best rating for the winner of this race since 2014, so the visuals are backed up with a well above race standard rating.
I am not sure I was as impressed with any other horse last week, as I was with this Mare.’
In his ATR stable tour last week, Cromwell confirmed the target;
‘We’ve sent her on a break with a view to starting her over hurdles at Christmas or maybe a little later than that. It’s been unbelievable to watch how she has progressed on the Flat in the last few months considering she was only being broken in this time last year and debuted as recently as March. The level of form she has shown on the Flat makes her an exciting hurdling prospect and you’d have to be dreaming of the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle with her. The one knock on her is that she isn’t overly big, but she’s all heart and has a big engine, so hopefully that won’t hold her back.
