      • Willie says the opposite to Frank Berry regarding Kel Historie with Frank mentioning a quicker run race to suit Kel next time, as we know Jp’s camp decide targets so i wouldnt be shocked if they persist with 2m with Kel.

        • Lucky place not being entered for the Cleeve is slightly puzzling, hope all is well and hendo has decided the rendlesham in mid Feb at Haydock would be a better race first time over 3miles.
          That's what I'm hoping.

Couldn't think of a worse Cheltenham festival trial than that Haydock meeting in mid Feb. Last 5 years we've had one good to soft, 1 soft with heavy in places and 3 heavy ground descriptions. As you say, puzzling why he wasn't entered - ran at the meeting last year before his good run at the Festival.

Had Nicky mentioned the Stayers as a potential target for him?

I was just going back through the stable tours and all he mentions about him is being a chaser for next season.

He mentioned it after the relkeel.
And he has an entry in the stayers.

it would have been a bit pie in the sky back when stable tours came out, surely nobody see him as a potential contender

You'd have to be mad enough to think Gidleigh Park and Calico were good bets in different races to think Lucky Place for the Stayers was a possibility back then!

Exchange looks normal/solid for him, so no signs of anything untoward from that angle.

                        • Was hoping to see lucky place in the cleeve, but guess it’s only a few weeks from his last run

hmmm that Cleeve is becoming less and less a trial

                          • Went to trials day last season, ran well without winning at the festival, maybe they're thinking going straight there as fresh as possible is a better idea, horse will be fit enough after two good wins this season so just keep him ticking over.
I'm obviously guessing as to why LP is a no show, but that'd be my best reasoning as the gap between Cleeve & festival would be a better sit than the Rendlesham imo.
