I'd be opposing Vauban in the stayers. Should just leave him on the flat trying to win the group races between 1m6 and 2m.

Bringing a horse like that back over hurdles for an owner makes zero sense in my mind for peanuts.
Is due to fly to Ireland tomorrow, so we'll know soon enough...

A seven-year-old to Australian time, Vauban was to have returned to Ireland on Wednesday to aim up at a hurdling campaign into next March’s Stayers’ Hurdle at Cheltenham for jumps master Mullins, but he will instead be sent for a summer spell in NSW before joining the Waterhouse-Bott stable over summer.

Bear in mind there are plenty of million dollar plus races in Aus, what are his options here ? 80 grand for a Royal Ascot handicap ?
Good business for both I think...

Great business for Rich to re-invest in stock, there was no point bringing him over hurdles
Vauban I have no doubt will make that back fairly quickly. So many Group races with huge prize money on offer down there and there quality of horse isn't great ath those distances. Only have to look at some of ours which have gone done and dominated from being average enough horses or similar to him here

Agree, no point him coming back over to win £80k races when such a figure is offered for him.
