But the uk have a challenger, he is an unexposed 6 year old.
His Cheltenham form is solid
He has a touch of class
His name is lucky place
I like how hardy he is though think he'll lack the class, personally.

I'm sure nico would have a good idea whether or not he will stay, and hendo would trust him

With Gowel Road winning this, is there any chance that the handicappers raise The Wallpark again for the collateral form boost?
Tbh The Wallpark should probably be 2nd fav for this. Mark Walsh didn't put him in the race at Ascot and he came home well. At Cheltenham, he'd be the biggest danger to Teahupoo for me.
JPs got the current 2nd fav for the Pertemps as well so could roll the dice with The Wallpark.

and he got beat fairly and squarely, the front 2 have hardly boosted the long walk form either.

2nd fav is Home By The Lee. He's already failed 3 times in this race. Not for me.
3rd fav is Lucky Place. I don't need to state his credentials to you. Nothing wrong with him but the trip is an unknown. First up this year he beat Blueking D'Oroux 1 length, Colonel Mustard 1.75 lengths and Golden Ace 2 lengths. Blueking D'Oroux beat at Ascot and Windsor since. Colonel Mustard smashed up by Kitzbuhel. Golden Ace beaten again by Lucky Place since.
Next up he goes to the Relkeel and beats Gowel Road 0.75 lengths giving him 6 pounds so a 7 pound beating.
Gowel Road, for me, is better over the 3m trip than the 2m4 trip but not much in it.
The Wallpark beat Gowel Road over 3m 2.5 lengths giving 4 pounds and won with an amount in hand.
On a line through Gowel Road, there's not much between Lucky Place and The Wallpark. But you've got a guaranteed stayer in The Wallpark.
Rewatch the Long Walk. Walsh had The Wallpark too far out the back in a start stop pace set by Beauport. Front 3 were near the front and The Wallpark had no chance. He makes a lot of headway after the last with the fastest last 2 furlongs of all the horses in the race. He will devour the hill at Cheltenham, as he's already shown.
Teahupoo is quite a bit clear of the rest but I can't see anything to say The Wallpark wouldn't be close to the best of the rest.

Which imo is where Lucky Place comes into it.
All the exposed ones just don’t look good enough really.
HBTL has different ways of running at times but catch him on a good day he’s pretty good.
