Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • Hendo saying he is likely to take in the Adonis next and then the Triumph. He did highlight he is a Flat horse primarily. Asked if he would run both Palladium and Lulamba in Triumph he said he wouldn't be scared to do it but we'll have to wait and see. My reading of the interview is he is likely to run both in Triumph if Palladium comes out of the Adonis well.

      • He'd have been beat if the 2nd was actually put in the race

Sat 15L off them given a nice easy intro and still tanked there.

Anyone on the horse, surely you're not keeping your tickets if you have cashout?

I’m waiting to see him again. I imagine he will be a lot different next time.
But I ain’t got much on anyway.
Just to say…… the immediate reaction to run again in the Adonis and then Triumph could persuade backers to hold on.?

            I'm stuck with it!

Was more in hope he'd not turn up for the Triumph, sounds like he will, so will take it on the chin.

Can't see him going close in a Triumph, just based on that, he has to improve a fair bit, IMO.

Hopefully does go Adonis - might hold a price for a horse in the race.

Depends what else turns up I guess.
He has to run again if he’s to have any chance of improving enough to figure in the Triumph.
So pretty sure he will run.

It's not the first time he's mentioned the flat either, he said something about it to Matt Chapman previously too.

I feel like they have bigger plans for the flat than they do over hurdles for him, which would make sense given his background.

but how much is anyone’s guess.

His exact words were "he is basically going to go flat racing"..........

He needs to find a serious amount, unless that Pauling horse is a potential Grade 1 animal, unlikely given he too was walloped by nearly 40 lengths in his p2p! Palladium also got 13lbs from him.

For me he should have been beating that lot on the snaff.

One other thing, and I know he was up against older, more developed horses, but I thought he looked fairly small. Being by Gleneagles I was reluctant to back him, now I'm almost certainly regretting I did Could do with him getting turned over in the Adonis and not travelling to Cheltenham now!

Well the owners obviously want him to run in the Triumph so think you need not much improvement at all,or a shed loads!!

                          • My view is quite simple. If they truly thought he was a Triumph horse they would have him running in the Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 2) at Cheltenham on Saturday and not midweek at Huntingdon in a Div 2 Maiden Hurdle. Viva Lalumba !!!!!!

Way he ran today I suspect they felt it best to get a run and some practice, and wait until Kempton for the Grade 2

                              • It's pretty unusual for any horse to make their hurdles debut in a graded contest like surely. I wouldn't read anything into that.
