Might just have a pop on Palladium though......

    We'll see.
I have a feeling Stencil on Sat might look nearer the horse we thought he might be, better ground might show him in better light.
I have Stencil vouchers too and I’ve resisted burning them….

That German Derby was wank, and if Joseph can't do anything with decent flat horses, no-one can ..... Palladium in the bin.

You want to be backing him NRNB for the Fred Winter though too surely

After Sat I'll definitely consider that.
It's strange how when a horse puts in a 'poor' run their price for the handicaps drifts when everyone in here knows it's probably the plan and the handicapper will reduce the load, so should Stencil be that horse no doubt he'll be a bigger price on Sunday....

Surprised he got an entry. No FDT though it seems so at least we know he's being held back.

Yeah especially when he didn't get one for the DRF, interesting to say the least

                    • I think Stencil could be next seasons Il est Francais, already looks every inch a chaser and after watching him over hurdles, he has zero respect for them, chasing will be the making of him & I'll be keeping an eye on how he progresses with the Kauto Star at Kempton a race I'll be leaning towards as an ante post punt at some point.

                      • Is there a chance Larzac runs in this? Unless I’m missing something, JP doesn’t have one for the race, and Willie hasn’t got the race by the short and curlies yet like in previous years. He must be tempted to run him.

I imagine it could be like we've seen of late, first run for new trainer and connections in the deep end and see how they fare.

If still a novice then go novice hurdling next season.

Salvator Mundi and Il Etait Temps spring to mind, probably is more examples.

Makes it easier for handicap plotting also.

                            • Great to see the charlus entry today for the triumph. He’s also entered at Navan on Sunday. It’s a piss weak maiden so be interesting if he’s declared and would, to me, indicate he’s more than just ‘one for next season’ as would obviously lose his maiden/novice status if winning.
