Sorry I see what you mean. Not sure the French care about the Triumph. Means he also misses the first part of the covering season so missed revenue there and could easily be beat in the Triumph.

Shame there aren't more kept entire over here. There's been some good ones in France over the last few years and their progeny hitting the track now - for example, Goliath du Berlais was a big horse, brilliant 4yo chaser and his progeny have looked very nice this year. Pic D'Orhy came over an entire and was immediately gelded. If Mystical Power was French, they'd have probably kept him entire and what would a grade 1 winning Galileo/Annie Power mix make as a stallion.

    • Saint Lucie did that nicely. Not sure what was in behind but, in a race Willie likes, she did it nicely. MGM sleeping - still 40s for the Triumph.

      • Probably a really wank maiden but St Lucie still available with mgm at 40-1.
        general 16-1

        • Nice enough start that from Sainte Lucie, albeit in a weak enough race

Touch headstrong and she did sweat up, but a good introduction all the same, she showed a turn of foot rounding the bend and won as she liked.

          33s still hanging

          • I don't know if he's always there but good to see Harold Kirk at punchestown to see her run.

Is he always at the races with Willie?

I know he's often there for the big meetings but a wet and windy NYE @ Punches?

            • Aye have to agree did it very nicely against probably very little but hard not to be impressed.

Wonder where she was in the pecking order, I know Vauban ran in this race 3 years ago but with WPM’s all falling short over Xmas good to see a nice juvenile.

              • Probably a little fooled by the wanky French Form, but they were likely buying her anyway, and they just wanted to see her show she can put one leg in front the other.
Willie running her as a maiden juvenile probably tells you they have been pleased with her and nothing else has come out from the yard looking capable.

We'll see how she fares up in grade next, but she looked quite professional to me, compared to Willie, who looks like an idiot that needs to mature.

Her Father sired Lossiemouth and Benie DD also.

                • Willie said:

”Paul was very happy with her. I'd imagine we'll be going for the top events with her. She looks top drawer."

So unsurprisingly it looks like the DRF may be next.

It’d be an interesting race to price up.

                  • Took a position on Sainte Lucie on the exchanges prior to her debut today.

Was decent enough, but the race was rubbish!

Hard to know whether she's going to be a Lossiemouth or a Hook Up!

The race she finished 3rd in in France has produced very little that I have noted anyway! Obvious improvement for joining Williie.

                    • Very very likely money back, but

Larzac 40s NRNB, absolute no brainer.

                      • …..Mullins;

Sainte Lucie looks a real top-drawer recruit from France for the juvenile division, and she looks a Triumph Hurdle type who will hopefully improve for the rest of the season.

Yeah he'll have been a big money buy him

Have you heard he will be out shortly Q?

Was told he was more a long term prospect.

No - Just assume he'll have a crack at the graded races in Spring as he's not a maiden.
