    • Stencil has drifted before the off

      • That looked quite impressive to me - dunno what he was up against but kinda wishing I'd had a snatch at some of that 3/1 now...

        • If they can get that thing to settle... won with ease in the end.

          • Hadn't backed Stencil, have now though.

So much in the tank for a horse that pulls so much. IF he could learn to settle he could be anything.

            • Thought Stencil would be cut after that, bags of potential I think, topped up.

He'll settle when put in a race where they don't crawl.
Not sure I've ever seen a horse still tugging 3f out and win, he has to have a serious engine.
Not sure what the reaction has been from bookies but I'm happy with the 25s I have....

….cut to 20-1 with some firms but 25s still available.

Still plenty of 25's around. 365 were sleeping so had the 33's but they've now gone 20's.

                      • Fine, big horse... didn't look like a three year old! When his jumping was good, it was very slick. Very impressive performance and managed to nab some 33's too... definitely one to follow. Suppose we could see him at Chelts in November.

Only Hills/888 now holding the 25's, been cut almost everywhere else now.

                          • Ive only managed to see the race finish from the straight but ill be sure to watch the race in full tonight but hes won it cosily and is a big unit of a horse the way he travels

As i said prior to the race, the form of the race wasnt hugely strong and its a shame the Chaille chaille horse made a brutal mistake and slipped a saddle as Couer Damour finished with purpose.

I am tempted to take a price post race but havent done so yet, trainer has mentioned the Cambaceres as a possibility according to Charly, where he would meet FRs best juveniles.

I can't see JP not bringing him over if they think he's good enough.

Prix Cambaceres will be the telling time for him, should he turn up for the race.
