          I see no issue with him producing a 145 figure minimum

            Wouldn’t he have to achieve that at a bare minimum to beat EID and that would require zero improvement from EID. With your confidence level I was expecting you to say 150 ish. Or is this your way of admitting EID is a real danger and you are choosing to be a gambler in the traditional use of the word (which I’d have respect for btw).

              He could run over 150 of course, I didn't say he would run a 145, its impossible to say how high he needs to run to. As I've said previous, I'm not a keen user of ratings and all that. I've said previous how I've doubted the EID formlines.

              Lulamba has alot more scope for improvement than EID does. You've got to remember Lulamba has had 2 lifetime starts, and is open to so much improvement. He blew me away much more than I ever expected at Ascot, and I really do believe he could be in the same mould ability wise as Sir Gino.

                No worries …. I have been taken by your unwavering confidence and just thought I’d try and understand whether that was driven by an expectation (rather than a possibility) of him posting a 150 type performance and I couldn’t reconcile your original answer to your confidence level that’s all. It seems your confidence level is not just based on your high opinion of Lulamba but also a strongly held view that EID is being overrated. BTW I have serious bet envy

                  The way EID races have worked out, imo, haven't been able to truly reflect depth in the races hes ran in (to no fault of his own). That would have gave more clarity on what my thoughts are on him.

                  Sauvignon bombed out, and stencil clearly running with a little brake on.

                  It would have been nice if Lulamba and EID had met in the Juvenile trial but obviously didn't happen, and the conversation back and forth will obviously keep going now until race day due to both not racing again before then.

                  Look we all get it wrong more times than we are right, but imo, it's good to see people bullish about their opinions and not be wavered by other peoples thoughts, so we'll see

                  Let the best donkey win

                    • …Mullins;

                      Lucie & Lady Vega;
                      Paul stays with Saint Lucie who was very impressive in winning in Punchestown and he was clearly impressed however Sean got on very well with Lady Vega Allen at this track over Christmas and keeps the ride. We think she might have more scope for improvement from that run too.

                      Sony Bill;
                      Danny [Mullins] rides and he ran well in the race here over Christmas, finishing a place behind Lady Vega Allen in third. He has lots of experience which is a benefit and he’s sure to be there or thereabouts.

                      Willy;
                      The mount of Brian Hayes and a horse that has disappointed us so far but hopefully Brian can try new tactics on him that might help him get into the placings.

                        Why do I get the distinct feeling, from a number of quotes from Willie about LVA, that he thinks she will turn the form around with Hello Neighbour this weekend?

                              New tactics of getting a mark for the boodles is probably the sensible option

                                More likely to go to fast for 30 seconds then end in dissapointment all round again
