Annoyingly, looking at the weather forecast, I'd struggle to see Kempton being on tomorrow.
Not getting above 2 degrees today and tomorrow is even worse, currently, not getting above 0 degrees. Could be a frozen track. Hopefully Hendo has a plan b for Lulamba!

I'm just down the road from Kempton and this morning it's frostier than the wife when I come home from the pub on Gold Cup day.

Kempton will fall sadly, -4 tonight and temperatures not forecast to get back above freezing until midday tomorrow, prepare for a day of sand shit Gents....

….unless Fairyhouse survives. Forecast doesn’t look as bad over the other side of the Irish Sea but I’m sure we have a few who can inform of prospects there this weekend.

Ffos Las should be OK, looks like warmer air pushing from West so Irish and Welsh tracks will be fine unless waterlogged...

Looks ideal to me. Medium to high single figures with a bit of rain about. Can't see either Fairyhouse or Punchestown not going ahead.
Ffos Lass looks like it should have a good chance too, which would include the redirected Towton.

Supposed to be going to the Triumph Trial on Cheltenham Trials Day in 2 weeks time.
The one where Sir Gino whacked Burdett Road last year and turned the top of the Triumph Hurdle market inside out.
Was/am expecting East India Dock to go there too, but his early entry at the DRF (ran a week later) puts a bit of shadow on which race he runs in.
The fact he's in the DRF race market at 6/1, when he's clearly the current top rated JuvH, suggests Irelands not the main plan, and maybe just a sensible back up in case Cheltenhams lost/delayed by weather issues.
Nicky Henderson dismissed as"ridiculous" a gamble that has forced French import Lulamba from 33/1 down to 4/1 for the Triumph Hurdle.
"It's stupid- ridiculous. People are putting two and two together and coming up with Sir Gino, and that doesn't work!
There's no similarity between them whatsoever, except they both come from France and they're both owned by Joe Donnelly. He won't be that price tomorrow night - he'll be 25/1!" laughed Henderson.
